Il 4 e 5 ottobre 2025, la Comunità Cattolica Filippina di Messina (FCCM) e il loro cappellano, P. Ferico Duque, RCJ, hanno partecipato al Giubileo dei Migranti a Roma, insieme all'Ufficio Migranti della Diocesi di Messina, guidato dal direttore, Diacono Santino Tornesi. I sessantatré partecipanti hanno viaggiato in pullman.
Sabato mattina, 4 ottobre, il gruppo ha partecipato all’“Udienza Giubilare” con Papa Leone XIV in Piazza San Pietro. La mattina seguente, domenica 5 ottobre, hanno partecipato alla Santa Messa, presieduta dal Santo Padre, celebrata anch'essa in Piazza San Pietro. Nel pomeriggio, nei giardini di Castel Sant'Angelo, si è celebrata la Festa dei Popoli.
Rome: Jubilee of Migrants
On October 4 and 5, 2025, the Filipino Catholic Community of Messina (FCCM) and their chaplain, Fr. Ferico Duque, RCJ, joined the Jubilee of Migrants in Rome, Italy, together with the Ufficio Migrantes of the Diocese of Messina, led by the director, Deacon Santino Tornesi. The fifty participants traveled by bus.
On Saturday morning, October 4, the group attended the "Jubilee Audience" with Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter's Square. The next morning, Sunday, October 5, they attended Holy Mass, presided over by the Holy Father, also held in St. Peter's Square. In the afternoon, the Festa dei Popoli was celebrated in the gardens of Castel Sant’Angelo.
