Update 3. Day 2, October 16

The Superior General, Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, and the Treasurer General, Fr. Brizio Giovanni Greco greeted the students and teachers of the Rogationist College Cavite on October 16, 2022, during the Morning Prayer at the covered court. The two general officials are at the premises of the school where the 3rd Chapter of St. Matthew Province is currently being held. This school year, the students and teachers are back to the face-to-face modality after two years of online classes due to the Covid pandemic.

The Chapter members started arriving at the Oasis of Prayer – Rogate Center of Spirituality in Silang, Cavite. At 6.30 pm, they all gathered at the St. Matthew Chapel of the Center for the solemn vespers and Eucharistic adoration, followed by a welcome dinner and moment of fraternity. 

There are 53 Chapter delegates coming from various communities in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Vietnam. 

3rd St. Matthew Provincial Chapter

Theme: The Rogationists Today. Unity, Collaboration, and Sharing.

Chapter members: 53 (40% of perpetually professed confreres of the St. Matthew Province on the date of the convocation of the Chapter).

By states of life: Priests – 49; Deacon – 1; Brothers – 3.

By nationality at birth: Filipinos – 48; Indonesians: 2; Italian – 1; Vietnamese – 2.

Youngest: Dcn. Lloyd Villahermosa, 29 years old

Oldest: Fr. Ricardo Caperina, 71 years old

Dal 19 al 21 ottobre si terrà nel Centro di Spiritualità Rogate – Casa per ferie, l’Assemblea della Provincia Sant’Antonio. L’incontro si concluderà con il pranzo di venerdì 21 ottobre 2022. Dopo la presentazione della Programmazione del Governo provinciale, nell’assemblea si prenderanno in esame temi e problematiche riguardanti l’economia e la gestione delle case e delle opere della Circoscrizione.

Ce dimanche 16 Octobre 2022 restera une date inoubliable aussi bien pour les nouveaux propedeutes que pour notre Congrégation. Ils sont venus des quatres coins du pays qui ont été accueillis et admis comme séminaristes Rogationnistes par le P. Bernard DOURWE, Supérieur de la Communauté. Arrivés le dimanche 02 Octobre, ils ont bénéficié de quelques jours d'imprégnation et entre le 12 et le 16, ils ont vécu leur retraite spirituelle prêchée par le P. Thomas NDI, rcj.

16-\0-2022 - DAY 2 (PART 2): Opening Mass, Presided over by Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ, General Superior

At 11:30 in the morning of October 16, 2022, Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ, the General Superior, presided over the Sunday Holy Mass at the St. Matthew Chapel of the Oasis of Prayer. Fr. John Joffer Lucas, RCJ and Fr. Jose Maria Espeleta, RCJ were the main concelebrants. The Eucharistic liturgy served as the Opening Mass of the Provincial Chapter.

16.10.2022 - As RC's goal is the total holistic formation of the students, an annual recollection is held at Oasis of Prayer, Silang, Cavite. The first to experience the recollection this year were the G9 students. Students listened to the recollection master and had their sharing after. They were also invited to have the sacrament of confession. Meanwhile, a mass was celebrated in the afternoon.
