Il dono della vocazione al presbiterato, posto da Dio nel cuore di alcuni uomini, impegna la Chiesa a proporre loro un serio cammino di formazione; come ha ricordato Papa Francesco in occasione del suo discorso alla Plenaria della Congregazione per il Clero (3 ottobre 2014), «si tratta di custodire e far crescere le vocazioni, perché portino frutti maturi. Esse sono un “diamante grezzo”, da lavorare con cura, rispetto della coscienza delle persone e pazienza, perché brillino in mezzo al popolo di Dio».

Alzati, va’ e non temere. Vocazioni e Santità: io sono una missione. E’ questo il titolo del prossimo Convegno Nazionale Vocazionale promosso, come ogni anno, dalla Conferenza Episcopale Italiana, Ufficio Nazionale per la Pastorale delle Vocazioni, che si terrà dal 3 al 5 gennaio 2017 a Roma presso the Church Village Hotel (ex Domus pacis). Il Convegno si propone di elaborare e approfondire la tematica dell’anno di pastorale vocazionale in corso: “Alzati, va’ e non temere”.

Bishop George Nkuo of the Diocese of Kumbo (Cameroon) erected on November 25, 2016 the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Kitiwum which is entrusted to the Rogationists of St. Joseph Quasi Province.      Sul tema del Sinodo dei Vescovi del 2018, “I giovani, la fede e il discernimento vocazionale”, dal 21 al 22 novembre si è tenuta in Vaticano la Riunione del Consiglio ordinario della Segreteria del Sinodo. È stato approvato il Documento preparatorio, alla cui stesura ha collaborato anche P. Vito Magno, chiamato tra gli Esperti come giornalista e direttore della rivista Rogate ergo. Antonio Fiorenza and Fr. Peter Quinto, presentation of the theological and pastoral aspects of “Amoris Laetitia” by Fr. Marco Durazo.
