Today 16 May
2007, our Congregation celebrates the 110th anniversary of
its foundation (1897) at the Avignone Quarters in Messina. The first
profession of the first co-adjutor brothers coincided with this memorable
day. This day also marks the anniversary of the canonization of St.
Hannibal (2004) at St. Peter’s Square. He was proclaimed saint by
Pope John Paul II, of happy memory, together with Don Orione, Josep
Manyanet Y Vives, Nimatullah Kassab Al-Hardini, Paola Elisabetta Cerioli
and Gianna Beretta Molla.
