The St. Thomas Quasi Province organised a get together of the parents of all the religious. Every year, the centre of studies used to organise this event to thank the parents for their collaboration in the formation of their children as well as to update them about the congregation and its growth in India and other parts of the world. On February 18, the parents of all the religious students came and the parents day celebration started with an hour of Eucharistic adoration. After dinner the brothers performed an hour of cultural programmes for the parents. On the following day February 19, Fr. Xavior Kidangen offered a reflection to the parents about the Christian values to be highlighted in the families. In the morning about 10:00 am the parents of all the priests joined in the celebration. Many of them came and Fr. Shajan Pazhayil, the Major Superior, gave them a reflection about the association of prayer for vocations and invited them to introduce this prayer movement in their own parishes and family units. The Major Superior then updated them about the various projects and development of the Quasi Province in India and in Sri Lanka. Fr. Joseph Mailapparambil presided over the con-celebrated Holy Eucharist. Fr. Devassy Painadeth shared the reflection, quoting Pope Francis, he emphasised a peaceful family life. He said; the parents need to consult and share everything in the family, they need to learn to say thank you and to ask sorry if they commit mistakes in the family. After the table fellowship the parents left the seminary joyfully.
