Rogationist Academy, 1 March. 17, Aluva: The Rogationist Academy, Aluva celebrated its magnificent and reverberating Annual Day and Kindergarten Graduation Day on Saturday, February 25, 2017 amidst great zest, vibrance and elation. Mr. Askar Ameer, a famous cine and serial artist was the esteemed Chief Guest. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Abraham Francis, an associate professor in Social work and human services at James Cook University in Australia and Very Rev. Fr. Shajan Pazhayil RCJ, Provincial of the Congregation of the Rogationists.
The programmed commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest, Mr. Askar Ameer, escorted by the other dignitaries and the Principal. Next, the Principal Fr. Cineesh Palathingal RCJ formally welcomed the eminent guests to the function and read the School’s Annual Report of the scholastic year 2016-17, followed by the inaugural address by the chief guest and the words of wisdom by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Abraham Francis. The Chief Guest, Mr. Askar viewed that imparting quality education to children has always been a challenge. He added that students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be given great scruples and values so that they can effectively serve their state as well as their nation. He expressed his great elation for having visited the Academy and appraised the gathering that it had always been his keen desire to visit the Rogationist Academy and that he always enjoys and makes it a point to visit children’s programmes as they are the future of the county. The Annual Day celebration was coincided with the Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony and Annual Prize Distribution with gusto and gaiety. The senior KG students were awarded with degrees from the Chief Guest on this occasion. The event was felicitated by Rev. Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly RCJ the School Manager, Mr. P R Rajesh Chengamanad Panchayath President and Mr. Govind Prabhakar.
The cultural programme commenced with a scintillating stage opening performance which has been a great surprise and amazement for the audience. It was followed by the superb dance performances by our tiny tots from KG sections, danced to the tunes of some popular folk songs. The entire programme was planned, conducted and coordinated under the mentoring and grooming of the management and teachers.
