Rogationist Mission Station in Papua New Guinea - Sideia - Opens New School Year

  • On March 5, 2018, the new leaders of St. Anthony's Boarding for Boys had their induction at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish. The care of the boarding boys in the Mission Station is under supervision of the Rogationists, while the care of the boarding girls are under the supervision of the Salesian Sisters.
  • St. Mary’s Boarding for Girls welcomed 57 female students from Grade 3 to Grade 8 (12 Grade 8, 10 Grade 7, 11 Grade 6, 7 Grade 5, 7 Grade 4 and 10 Grade 3 students.
  • St. Ann Skills Training Institute (SASTI) welcomed almost 300 students this year. SASTI is a vocational school for girls which caters two year courses on Food Tech, Computing, Garment, Office Administration and Tourism Trade. It is located in the Mission of Sidea, and is under the care of the Salesian Sisters.
  • St. Anthony of Padua Elementary School welcomed 23 elementary students (eight Elementary 2 students, eight Elementary 1 students and seven Elementary Prep students).
  • On February 24, 2018, Fr. Henry Ramos, RCJ, blessed the SASTI’s Staff Houses and Dormitories. After which, the welcome program for the SASTI Year 1 students was held at SASTI Grounds.
  • On March 2, 2018, Fr Henry Ramos, RCJ, Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish, blessed the St. Mary’s Primary School and the house of the teachers.
