The Rogationists and Daughters of Divine Zeal working in Indonesia participated in the Rogationist Spirituality course guided by Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta RCJ, Provincial Vicar of the Province of St. Matthew. The four-day course held on July 20-23 at Kapel Santo Anibale of the FDZ Convent at Maumere introduced the concept of mystagogy and its application to formation in the celebration of the Liturgical Proper of the two Congregations, as well as the various Rogationist devotions that are contained in the booklet Rogationist at Prayer. Then, the five Rogationists and ten Daughters of Divine Zeal applied the method to the Prayers, Preface and the Readings of the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen and Mother of the Rogate. The conference also touched on the Regulations on the Feast of July 1st which St. Hannibal Mary wrote, and read these in the current contexts. Moreover, the course also demonstrated how to enhance the prayer of the Psalms of the Liturgy of the Hours by exploring the emotive dimension of the Psalm as poetry and prayer.
The last day of the course culminated with the joint Adoration for Vocations on Thursday, July 23.
This course is part of the formation program to the Rogationist community in Indonesia organized for the Year of Consecrated Life which the Provincial Sector on Formation and Religious Life has organized.
