14 FIRST PROFESSION AND 13 NOVICES

On May 31, 2014 the Philippine Quasi Province rejoiced for the great blessings of vocations. In a liturgical rites presided over by Fr. Herman Abcede, RCJ., Provincial Superior, in the Chapel of St. Anthony’s Boys Village, 13 young men were accepted to the novitiate and 14 courageous young men also had their first profession of vows. The celebration started at 10:00 in the morning then it was followed by a bountiful lunch for everybody. The confreres from various communities, the parents of the candidates, friend and benefactors of the congregation graced the said occasion. Fr. Herman stressed the importance of the faith-courage, love-generosity and hope-availability dynamics in the life of following Jesus.

5 PERPETUAL PROFESSION AND RENEWAL OF 40 RELIGIOUS

The Philippine Quasi Province was glad for the generosity the young men who declared to give their whole life for the service of God and of His Church. On June 1, 2014, at 4:00 in the afternoon, Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, 5 religious, namely, Bro. Jessel Bangoy, Bro. Llyd Suarez, Bro. Sherwin Valenzuela, Bro. Wilford Urmaza and Bro. Joseph Houng, professed their vows perpetually. In the same celebration 25 religious renewed their vows for another year. The rest of the religious renewed also their vows in the various communities they are assigned. Thus totaling 40 religious renewed the vows this year 2014. Fr. Herman reminded the religious who renewed and who perpetually professed of the need to be aware that they are challenged to be “reminders” of God in this present world.  The confreres from various communities, the parents of the candidates, friend and benefactors of the congregation graced the said occasion.

Dearest, The Rogate Ashram Community - Aluva - celebrated the feast of St. Hannibal with the ordination of two brothers to diaconate. Bros. James and Dileep, received the diaconate from his excellency, Rev. Bp. Emeritus Thomas Chakkiath of Ernakulam Angamaly Arch-diocese. Fr. Vinu, the superior of the center of studies welcomed the bishop, the priests, sisters and the relatives and friends of the brothers. Fr. Shajan, the provincial and fr. Joseph mailaparambil con-celebrated with the bishop. Representatives from all the rogationist communities, friends, benefactors of the community graced the occasion with their presence.

Il Superiore Generale, P. Angelo Ademir Mezzari, in data 1° giugno 2014, ha emanato un decreto con il quale, nella ricorrenza del 10° anniversario della canonizzazione dei Sant’Annibale, ha costituito la Circoscrizione, già Quasi Provincia Filippina, come Provincia Rogazionista, denominandola Provincia San Matteo, comprendente le comunità facenti parte della precedente Quasi Provincia. Nella stessa data ha indetto il 1° Capitolo della nuova Provincia che si terrà a partire dall’8 dicembre 2014, durante il quale sarà eletto il Superiore Provinciale e il Consiglio della nuova Provincia Religiosa. L’augurio più sentito che la nuova Provincia San Matteo sia accompagnata sempre dalla particolare protezione di San Matteo, apostolo ed evangelista, e di Sant’Annibale.

Il 1° giugno, nella solennità dell’Ascensione del Signore, nella chiesa parrocchiale dei Santi Antonio e Annibale a Roma, alle ore 19.00, vi è stata una solenne concelebrazione eucaristica presieduta dal Prefetto della Congregazione per gli Istituti di Vita Consacrata e le Società di Vita Apostolica, il Cardinale João Braz de Aviz. Il presule all’omelia ha ricordato la santità del nostro Fondatore, nel 10° anniversario della sua canonizzazione. Al termine della cerimonia vi è stato un omaggio floreale al monumento a Sant’Annibale nell’aiuola antistante la chiesa parrocchiale. Riportiamo il saluto rivolto dal Padre Generale al Cardinale.

No dia 31 de maio de 2014 a Família do Rogate estará reunida em Passos (MG), celebrando os 10 anos de canonização de Santo Aníbal Maria Di Francia, ocorrida em 16 de maio de 2004. Será a 5ª Romaria ao Santuário de Santo Aníbal, localizado naquela cidade. O tema deste evento é o título de um livro contendo alguns fatos da vida deste apóstolo da oração pelas vocações: "Santo Aníbal Maria Di Francia: a entrega de uma vida". O livro será lançado durante a Romaria. Na missa conclusiva, com Liturgia da Solenidade de Santo Aníbal, dois religiosos Rogacionistas serão ordenados diáconos, Ir. Nilson Rocha Santos e Ir. Reginaldo Veríssimo Ferreira. Além disso, será concluído o Ano Vocacional Rogacionista, que iniciou no dia 1º de junho de 2013.

Venerdì, 30 maggio 2014, presso la Casa Generalizia delle Figlie del Divino Zelo si riunirà la Commissione del 1° Convegno Internazionale su La Pedagogia di Annibale Maria Di Francia per compiere una verifica sull’esperienza vissuta. Alleghiamo il Messaggio del Convegno alla Famiglia del Rogate, nelle diverse lingue.

USG - Si svolgerà al Salesianum di Roma, dal 28 al 30 maggio 2014, la 83ma Assemblea USG dal tema: "Svegliate il mondo! I religiosi nella missione della Chiesa oggi".  Obiettivi dell’assemblea: 1. Dare uno spazio affinché i superiori reagiscano, riflettano e condividano la loro esperienza dell’incontro con Papa Francesco, traendone le implicanze per un aspetto concreto del loro servizio, i.e. le visite canoniche. 2. Iniziare una riflessione sulla famiglia in risposta alle indicazioni del Papa (cf. Sinodo)

3. Aprire uno spazio per riflessioni e proposte sull’Anno della Vita Consacrata 2015. (da Vidimus Dominum).

Dal 31 maggio al 2 giugno nella casa di Cristo Re di Messina si terrà l'annuale Meeting LAVR - Giovani Rog al quale parteciperanno un centinaio di giovani provenienti dal sud Italia. Il tema del meeting è "Siamo operai della messe e tu?", con testimonianze forti e momenti di preghiera e riflessione.
