2nd SMP Chapter Concludes

(Silang/October 19, 2018)– The 2ndProvincial Chapter of St. Matthew Province concluded today. The members spent the morning for the presentation and approval of the following matters: the proposed norms for the next Provincial Chapter, the revised statement of the 2nd Provincial Chapter, presentation of the priorities of the 3nd Provincial Chapter. After that, the assembly voted that the next Chapter in 2022 will be by representation, with 40% of the perpetually professed confreres of the Province participating. The plenary session ended with the concluding message of Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ, thanking the outgoing Provincial Council, the incoming Provincial Council and all those who came to participate in the Chapter. 

At noon, the new Provincial Superior, Fr. Orville Cajigal, presided over the closing Mass at the Chapel of the Oasis of Prayer. His concelebrants at the presbytery were of his Councilors. During the mass, Fr. Orville make the profession of faith and the oath of office as Provincial Superior. Before the final blessing, the assembly presented their token of gratitude the outgoing Provincial government.

On October 20, 2018, the St. Matthew Province will be blessed by the gift of 7 new Rogationist priests at the Rogationist Parish of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary in Multinational, Paranaque. Fr. Rampazzo, in his closing remarks during the Chapter, mentioned that this event of grace is a marvelous sign of starting the journey of the Province for the next four years.
