A Rogationist Missionary to Papua New Guinea

Bro. Joseph Nguyen Huu Binh, a Vietnamese Rogationist in Practical Training, left for a missionary assignment to Papua New Guinea on September 29, 2018, after a prolonged period of waiting for his missionary visa to be released. He was accompanied by Bro. Nilo Pelobello, SMP Provincial Treasurer.

The rite of Missionary Send-off took place during the Eucharistic celebration on September 28, on the memorial of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint who himself was a missionary martyred in Nagasaki, Japan. Fr. Herman Abcede, SMP Provincial Superior gave him the missionary cross as a symbol of his missionary commitment as a "harvest worker" in the Rogationist Missionary Station of Sideia-Alotau.
