On January 17-18, 2022, Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior, did his Canonical Visit to the St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Villanueva, Bautista, Pangasinan, after complying with all the travel requirements during the period of the pandemic. Bro. Christian Allan De Sagun, RCJ, the Provincial Secretary, joined him to document the visitation and to check on the archives of the community and of the parish. The short encounter was highlighted with moments of prayer, and with common and personal dialogues.

On January 7, 2022 at 4:00 in the afternoon the solemn mass for the Dedication of the Altar and Blessing of the Sanctuary of the parish was presided over by His Excellency Most Reverend Jose Allan Dialogo, DD, Bishop of Sorsogon. The event was very relevant and momentous for the family of the Rogate as the relic of St. Hannibal Mary was chosen to be placed on the altar.
May St. Hannibal Mary continue to intercede on all of us in begging for more holy laborers in the vast vineyard of the Lord, especially in the Diocese of Sorsogon.

(26-30 dicembre) La Provincia San Matteo ha tenuto simultaneamente l'orientamento vocazionale annuale durante le vacanze di Natale nei nostri seminari di Manila (Paranaque) e Cebu, che aveva anche una sede a Roga Mina, Iloilo. In tutto, hanno aderito circa 100 giovani, nonostante i problemi prevalenti causati dalla pandemia Covid-19 e dal recente Super Tifone Rai che ha gravemente colpito Cebu e le regioni di Visayas e Mindanao.

Tre giovani sono stati ammessi formalmente all'Aspirantato Rogazionista il 25 dicembre 2021, durante il Rito presieduto da P. Joseph Phan Hoang Nguyen, responsabile della Casa "Rogate" di Dalat. I nuovi aspiranti sono: Augustine Hieu, Joseph An, e Joseph Kiet che sono studenti di Filosofia presso l'Istituto Filosofico Don Rua di Dalat.

In questa solennità della Natività del nostro Signore Gesù, due religiosi studenti del Vietnam sono stati ammessi al ministero di lettore, fr. Joseph Nguyen Huu Binh e fr. Peter Tran Duy Nhan. Entrambi sono studenti di teologia al primo anno presso l'Istituto Teologico Don Bosco di Thu Duc City, Vietnam.
Il suddetto Rito di Ammissione è stato fatto durante la Celebrazione Eucaristica presieduta da P, Ryan Jimenez RCJ e assistita dal Diacono Peter Truong Viet Thien, tenutasi nella cappella della Casa del Buon Pastore a Phu Cuong, Binh Duong, Vietnam.

Il super tifone "Rai" di categoria 4 ha abbattuto le Filippine centrali e meridionali, scaricando 250 mm di pioggia e venti le cui raffiche raggiungono i 240 km/h, causando onde alte fino a 10 metri che si infrangono sulla costa. Il tifone ha coperto quasi la metà dell'intero paese arcipelago. Ha causato gravi danni alle comunità rogazioniste di Cebu, Guimaras e Iloilo. Nel seminario di Cebu e il Camp Alfredo in Guimaras enormi alberi di mango sono stati sradicati e i tetti sono stati divelti. Nessuno è stato ferito, dato che i seminaristi sono in vacanza a Natale.

(14 December) A 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Flores Island in Indonesia around 11:20 a.m. local time (04:20 a.m. Italian time) with the epicenter recorded about 91 kilometers north of Maumere, in Indonesia. There were three strong jolts lasting for about 30 seconds prompting a tsunami warning that frightened people to escape to higher grounds. Thanks be to God, the authorities have removed the tsunami warning and so far there have been no reported deaths or major damages.
