Fr. John Lucas, Provincial Vicar of St. Matthew Province, led the ground-breaking ceremonies of the construction of the first Rogationist Religious House in Vietnam on January 13, 2016, after a conclebrated Mass. Bro. Nilo Pelobello, SMP Provincial Treasurer assisted in a ceremony attended by the Rogationist confreres, diocesan and religious priests, seminarians, Daughters of Divine Zeal, relatives, benefactors and friends.
The Rogationists arrived in the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam in June 2003, and started the formation of candidates to the Rogationist religious life. At present, aside from the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh, the Rogationists are also present in the Dioceses of Da Lat (2005) and in the Diocese of Phu Cuong (2014). Currently, there are 12 Vietnamese Rogationists of whom one is a deacon, three perpetually professed religious students of Theology; and eight in their temporary profession, who are either in Vietnam or in the Philippines for studies or Practical Training. There are also three novices and five postulants in the Philippines. In Vietnam, there are 14 seminarians studying Philosophy or a university degree.
Wishing the best to the Missionary Station with the sustenance of St. Anthony of Padua and the blessings of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia
