On June 12, 2013, 71 out of school youth of the St. Francis Xavier Parish graduated from a summer course program organized by the St. Francis Xavier Parish, in Parang, Bagac, Bataan.
This summer course, offered from April to May normally at Fr. Diego Buscio Skills and Training Center, is a project which started with the Rogationist Mission Day effort of the Congregation about five years ago. It is being implemented by the Rogationist Community in the Parish and the some parishioners of the St. Francis Xavier Parish. It offers basic technical and vocational training to the out of school youth of the parish.
This year the center offered welding technology, automotive technology, cosmetology (manicure and pedicure, massage therapy, hairstyle and make up).
Among the guests of honor were Fr. Fr. Herman Abcede, Provincial Superior of the Philippine Quasi Province and supposed to be the Director of TESDA in the region, Engr. Jaime Castillo who have been represented by Mr. Noli Bautista the Test Director of TESDA.
This year’s graduation started with the Holy Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Herman Abcede and concelebrated with the priests of the community of St. Francis Xavier Parish. After a short break the graduation rites proceeded. The rites included prayer invocation, messages, confirmation of graduates, distribution of diplomas and certificates, messages from various personalities and a short song presentation of those who finished the cosmetology course.
