Update 4. Day 3, October 17
The day started with the Lauds and Holy Eucharist presided by Fr. Henry Ramos, the Superior of the Missionary Station of Sideia-Alotau in Papua New Guinea. Fr. Ronaldo Victoria and Fr. Elmer Dula, both missionaries formerly assigned to Papua, concelebrated. Commenting on the gospel reading, Fr. Ramos underlined the spirit of generosity and availability of sharing our human and material resources to those in need, particularly to other communities and even other Circumscriptions. The abundant gifts we received are meant to be shared and not hoarded.
The morning session was dedicated to the report of the Provincial Superior, Fr. Orville Cajigal. He also identified the recommendations for the next Provincial Government. In the afternoon, the Chapter members actively offered their suggestions, asked for clarifications, and commented on the report. These questions will be responded to in the Assembly by the Superior after he will have met his council. Later, the laity of the different sectors (School, UPV, Pamilya Rog, Parish, Youth) shared with the Chapter members the impact of the Rogate in their lives as lay people and what they expect from the Province in order to grow more in living out the charism. The work of today concluded with the Vespers and the Eucharistic Adoration.
