(Aug. 10) Most Rev. Renato Mayugba, DD, Bishop of Laoag, together with the Rogationist priests and clergy of the diocese, celebrated the Solemn Eucharist on the Feast of the Parish Patron, St. Lawrence the Deacon. This parish is located in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, was founded by the Augustinians in 1624 and is now entrusted to the Rogationists.
The annual parish celebration was preceded by the novena prayers and Masses that began on August 1. A festive motorcade through the cities of Bangui and Dumalneg with the image of St. Lawrence served as the opening of the days of celebration and prayer.
On August 9, the youth of St. James the Great Parish in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, brought the Vicarial Youth Cross to the parish. The youth of St. Lawrence the Deacon warmly welcomed the cross by singing "Tell the world of His love". After receiving the cross and enthroning it in the Shrine, the whole community prayed the rosary and closed the 9th day of the novena.
The Eucharistic Liturgy was celebrated in the afternoon at 5:00 p.m., presided by Fr. Silvestre Robiñol, RCJ, and concelebrated by Frs. Paulo Sambile, RCJ, and John Lucas, RCJ. The Mass was followed by a solemn procession through the streets of Bangui.
On August 10, the feast of St. Lawrence the Deacon, the celebration in the parish began with Eucharistic Adoration for vocations, led by Fr. Paulo Sambile, RCJ. All the youth and other parishioners participated in the adoration, thanking the Lord for the gift of vocations in the parish and asking the Lord for more vocations in the diocese and in the whole Church.
Celebrazione della festa patronale della parrocchia di San Lorenzo
(10 agosto) Il Rev.mo Mons. Renato Mayugba, DD, Vescovo di Laoag, insieme ai sacerdoti rogazionisti e al clero della diocesi, ha celebrato l'Eucaristia solenne in occasione della festa del patrono della parrocchia, San Lorenzo Diacono. Questa parrocchia si trova a Bangui, Ilocos Norte, fu fondata dagli Agostiniani nel 1624 ed è ora affidata ai Rogazionisti.
La celebrazione annuale della parrocchia è stata preceduta dalla novena di preghiera e dalle Messe che hanno avuto inizio il 1° agosto. Un corteo festoso attraverso le città di Bangui e Dumalneg con l'immagine di San Lorenzo ha aperto le giornate di celebrazione e preghiera.
Il 9 agosto, i giovani della parrocchia di San Giacomo il Grande a Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, hanno portato la Croce della Gioventù Vicariale alla parrocchia. I giovani di San Lorenzo Diacono hanno accolto calorosamente la croce cantando "Tell the world of His love". Dopo aver ricevuto la croce e averla intronizzata nel Santuario, l'intera comunità ha recitato il rosario e ha chiuso il 9° giorno della novena.
La liturgia eucaristica è stata celebrata nel pomeriggio alle 17:00, presieduta da P. Silvestre Robiñol, RCJ, e concelebrata da P. Paulo Sambile, RCJ, e John Lucas, RCJ. La Messa è stata seguita da una solenne processione per le strade di Bangui.
Il 10 agosto, festa di San Lorenzo Diacono, la celebrazione in parrocchia è iniziata con l'Adorazione Eucaristica per le vocazioni, guidata da P. Paulo Sambile, RCJ. Tutti i giovani e gli altri parrocchiani hanno partecipato all'adorazione, ringraziando il Signore per il dono delle vocazioni nella parrocchia e chiedendo al Signore più vocazioni nella diocesi e nella Chiesa intera.
