24-7-2021 - A decade and a year swiftly passed and yet, the words of Fr. Joseph Aveni keep on inspiring and giving courage to people who follow the Will of our Father. Held in St. Hannibal Mary Chapel of Father Hannibal Formation Center in Merville Park, Paranaque, Fr. Tom June Lancin presided the Holy Mass in commemoration of Fr. Aveni's 11th Death Anniversary. Remembering his journey with him, Fr. Tom June, in his homily, reflected on the Gospel through the lens of Fr. Aveni's life of which centered on obeying the Will of God. A "WALK" wih Fr. Aveni for him means - Will of God, Always Rogate, Life of Simplicity and Kindness of God - these four points encapsulated the totality of Fr. Aveni's life, a life filled with holy joy, steadfast faith and selflessness which being remembered once again by the whole Rogate Family.
Before the final blessing, Fr. Dexter Prudenciano, the Provincial Vicar, gave his short message and followed by the Vice Postulator, Fr. Ariel Tecson, who presented to the assembly an update of the ongoing beatification process of Fr. Joseph. The Holy Eucharist was attended by different Rogationist Communities and lay people. Let us continue to pray for a meaningful and fruitful process of the Servant of God as we strive to follow the "WALK" of Fr. Joseph Aveni.
