The Rogationist Center of Studies of STQP, officially inaugurated ‘’Sandhvanam’’ Social Apostolate to the Peripheries 2015-2016. After a year of successful completion of the experience during the school year 2014 – 15, the Religious students found it so beneficiary for their human formation and missionary orientation. Rev. Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly, the Rector of the Rogate Ashram extended a warm welcome to the Chief guests and invited all to the importance of this activity. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Shaji, a Head Constable of Kerala Police Department. He made a very substantial keynote address and evoked the brothers to be vigilant about the wavering Social Scenario of our time and inspired us to render our time and energy for the society. His Sharing was out of his honest and Christian way of service in the Department for several years. This has definitely inspired the brothers to make themselves available to the needs of the society. The Presidential address was given by Rev. Fr. Provincial, Shajan Pazhayil. He reminded the brothers about the great missionary zeal and enthusiasm of St. Hannibal who left over the security of the presbytery and went to the Avingone Quarters. He invited the brothers to go out to the peripheries, repeating the words of the Holy Father, Pope Francis and asked the brothers to be motivated by the zeal of Fr. Founder. Rev. Doney Palakuzha made a fruitful sharing of the ‘’Sandhvanam’’ activities of the year 2014-2015. Bro. Christy proposed the vote of thanks to the Chief Guests and the community.
