(27 settembre) — La Santa Madre Chiesa e l'intera Famiglia del Rogate gioiscono nel Signore per il dono delle vocazioni, poiché otto dei nostri confratelli sono stati ordinati diaconi nella Cappella dello Spirito Santo dello Studentato Teologico Di Francia Center of Studies a Paranaque, nelle Filippine. I nuovi diaconi ordinati sono i religiosi studenti Cyrone Bañares, Luis Manuel Canlas, Archie Fornelos, Augustine Nguyen Du Nhien, John the Baptist Hoang Tam, Peter Nguyen Ho Thinh, Francis Xavier Nguyen Quoc Trung e Gervasius Setu. Quattro provengono dal Vietnam, tre dalle Filippine e uno dall'Indonesia.
Con l'imposizione delle mani da parte di Sua Eccellenza Rev.ma Herman Abcede, RCJ, DD, Vescovo di Daet, i nuovi chierici sono stati consacrati al servizio della Parola, dell'Altare e della Carità. Sua Eccellenza Rev.ma Rene Ramirez, RCJ, DD, vescovo ausiliare dell'arcidiocesi di Melbourne, Australia, ha concelebrato la liturgia insieme a vari sacerdoti provenienti da diverse congregazioni e diocesi.
Le famiglie dei diaconi e dei formandi Rogazionisti, così come i rappresentanti di diverse congregazioni religiose, i membri dell'UPV, gli amici e i benefattori, hanno partecipato all'evento, rendendo l'occasione ancora più memorabile.
Nella sua omelia, il vescovo Herman ha sottolineato l'importanza di pregare il Signore della Messa per avere più vocazioni sante nella Chiesa. È il Signore della messe che esaudisce la preghiera, quindi coloro che vengono inviati devono essere servi fedeli ed efficaci della vigna. Essere ordinati dovrebbe significare diventare veramente servi del Signore. Noi siamo solo servi nella vasta messe del Signore.

Philippines: Diaconal Ordination
(September 27) — The Holy Mother Church and the entire Family of the Rogate rejoice in the Lord for the gift of vocations as eight of our confreres were ordained deacons at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit of the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies in Paranaque, Philippines. The newly ordained deacons are Cyrone Bañares, Luis Manuel Canlas, Archie Fornelos, Augustine Nguyen Du Nhien, John the Baptist Hoang Tam, Peter Nguyen Ho Thinh, Francis Xavier Nguyen Quoc Trung, and Gervasius Setu. Four are from Vietnam, three are from the Philippines, and one is from Indonesia.
Through the laying on of hands by Most Rev. Herman Abcede, RCJ, DD, Bishop of Daet, the new clerics were consecrated to serve the Word, the Altar, and Charity. Most Rev. Rene Ramirez, RCJ, DD, auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Melbourne, Australia, also concelebrated the liturgy with various priests from different congregations and dioceses.
The families of the deacons and Rogationist formands, as well as representatives of different religious congregations, UPV members, friends, and benefactors, attended the event, making the occasion more memorable.
In his homily, Bishop Herman highlighted the importance of praying to the Lord of the Harvest for more holy vocations in the Church. It is the Lord of the Harvest who grants the prayer, so those who are sent out must be true and effective servants of the vineyard. Being ordained should entail truly becoming servants of the Lord. We are merely servants in the vast harvest of the Lord.
