The Rogationist Social Service Centre of STQP, India organised today with Amala Hospital of Medical Science, a hair donation camp. It was intended to give a little of joy to the cancer patients, who are suffering from loss of hair due to the treatment, chemotherapy. There were 40 participants volunteered themselves to donate their 12 inches of hair. The donated hair will be used to make wigs for the patients who loose their hair due to the treatment. Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly, the superior of Rogate Ashram, extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and the participants, who joined for the hair donation. The Member of the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Anwar Sadath, inaugurated the camp. The Major Superior Fr. Shajan Pazhayil presided over the inaugural function. Fr. Jaison Mundanmani CMI, associate director of Amala Hospital gave an awareness class on the need and importance of hair donation. Fr. Xavier Kidangen, Mrs. Latha Gangadharan expressed their felicitation for the programme. During this occasion, the Rogationist STQP, handed over a financial assistance to three deserving families from the money collected for the year of mercy.
