Our ROGATE CENTER in Van Nuys, under the guidance of Fr. Renè Palansigui, organized the First Mini Congress for altar servers and their parents last august 5, 2017 Saturday. It was organized with the collaboration of the various altar server parish coordinators of 9 participating parishes. It was participated by 500 altar servers and parents. It took place in our St. Jane Frances De Chantal Parish ( North Hollywood, CA).The Regional bishop Msgr. Joseph Brennan officiated the opening mass, encouraging the altar servers to do their best in serving the Lord. After the mass there were workshops for each categories: parents, high school & college altar servers and elementary. After lunch there were games and the whole event ended with an adoration of the Eucharist. The purpose of the initiative is to promote a vocation culture among young people engaged in liturgical service.
