(Pasay City, Philippines) The official turn-over of the housing units to 65 families marked a milestone in this year’s celebration of the Rogationist Mission Day in St. Matthew Province. After 10 years of preparation, the 5-storey apartment building is now a reality for the 65 families of the St. Hannibal Homeowners' Association, Phase 17, Malibay, Pasay City. God is faithful indeed even amidst the pandemic.
The new housing units are the latest addition to the housing projects spearheaded by the St. Hannibal Empowerment Center (SHEC). As of today, there has been a total of 479 homes built for and distributed to those beloved of Jesus. Three more St. Hannibal housing projects are next in line.
God has also manifested his faithfulness by inspiring numerous partners. Thus, heartfelt thanks are ascribed to the Pondo ng Pinoy headed by Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, DD, Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, DD, Bishop Broderick Pabillo, DD, Fr. Ed Coroza- Parish Priest, Fr. Rusell Ocampo- Parish Priest, and Ambassador Henrietta De Villa. Also instrumental to the project completion are the following: the national government through the Social Housing Finance Corporation with the very kind assistance of Atty. Arnolfo Ricardo B. Cabling, current president and Ms. Ana Oliveros, past president; the local government through the Mayor Emi Calixto; the Light of Jesus Family through Bro. Bo Sanchez; the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus through Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, RCJ – Superior General and Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ – Provincial Superior and to all those who wish to remain silent but have generously shared their precious resources. Profound gratitude from the SHEC family: religious community, staff, Shacc, Pabanal, Rogate groups and dedicated collaborators.
