The Community of Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies in Parañaque City organized the “Annual Gathering of the Knights of the Altar” last February 25, 2017. The young participants, who are mostly altar servers, came from the different parishes where the religious brothers are serving, as part of their parish apostolate every Sunday.
The theme was “Sakristang Hokage: Naglilingkod sa Community upang maging Holy”. Bro. Alex Henon, RCJ and Bro. John Quincy Caballo, SDB further elaborated the theme through their talks. Furthermore, during the Eucharistic Celebration, Fr. Eric Raveza, RCJ shared his reflection on the importance of friendship in building future leaders in the parish. He also encouraged the participants to be open to God’s call for religious and priestly life.
In the afternoon, the participants enjoyed and shared their camaraderie through different sports and parlor games. After the games, Fr. Rodolfo Patiag Jr., RCJ, the Superior of the Community, gave his concluding remarks, thanking the participants and cheering them to continue their service in the parish as a way to holiness. The day ended with the participants going home and bringing their experience of joy and fellowship through youthful and friendly encounter with the religious brothers and with their fellow altar servers.
