Some Rogationist communities of the St. Matthew Province have set up "community pantries" to distribute food items to people adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted into the loss of jobs and earnings for many and has reduced life to misery and hunger for the poor.
The phenomenon of “community pantries” have sprouted in many areas in urban centers in Manila. It is inspired by the gospel parable of the multiplication of bread. People who have can contribute whatever they can and those who have not can get what they need without paying. The motto is "Give according one's capacity. Get according to one's needs". Some Rogationist communities have followed suit in doing this first apostolic community-inspired initiative where everyone put their resources for common use that no one was in need. Donors and benefactors delivered donations to the FDFCS which in turn redistributes the food to those who need them most.
