Formal Opening of the School Year

(September 8) The Rogationist College in Cavite formally opened the new School Year with the Mass of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary presided over by Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta, Vicar General, and concelebrated by the Rogationist of the Educational community of the College, High School,  St. Anthony's Boys Village, Oasis of Prayer and the Novitiate. The students and teachers resume the face-to-face classes after two years of online sessions due to the pandemic. During the opening ceremony, half of the student body was present while the other half attended online. For this school year, there are around 1,500 students enrolled in the Junior and High School Departments. The newly elected Student Body Organization leaders were also sworn into office.

In St. Matthew Province, September 8 is also the Rogationist Mission Day. Thus, during the Mass, Fr. Ezpeleta reiterated the missionary character of every Christian as well as of every student and educator of the Rogationist Institutions. Like Mary, each one is called to bring Christ to others in their own simple way, apart from the prayer for missionaries and the material support for their endeavor. This year, the Rogationist Mission Day Project is in favor of the education center in Tonala, Mexico.
