(October 3, 2024) The Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus - Saint Matthew Province officially inaugurated the mission in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior of the SMP, was joined by the Rogationist missionaries in the country: Fr. Welbert Llyd Suarez, RCJ; Fr. Zander Conson, RCJ; Fr. PJ Mapacpac, RCJ; and Fr. Jose Roque Arreza, RCJ, in a meeting with representatives of the Archdiocese of Port Moresby, including Fr. Justin Nenat, SVD, the Vicar General; Fr. Bruce, the Pastoral Vicar; and Fr. Carol, MSC, the Secretary to the Archbishop.
This meeting affirmed the commitment of the Rogationists to the Archdiocese and marked the appointment of Fr. Zander Conson, RCJ, as the new Director of St. Joseph's International Catholic College. Both parties expressed gratitude for their partnership and shared a vision for collaboration, especially in educational initiatives.
St. Joseph's International Catholic College was founded in 1917 by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Hearts (OLSH) and is one of the oldest in Papua New Guinea. The current campus is located in Boroko, Port Moresby. The school provides education from pre-school age through all grades to year 12. There are currently around 700 students studying at the school.

Nuova missione nella capitale della Papua Nuova Guinea
(3 ottobre 2024) La Congregazione dei Rogazionisti del Cuore di Gesù - Provincia San Matteo ha inaugurato ufficialmente la missione di Port Moresby, la capitale della Papua Nuova Guinea. P. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, Superiore Provinciale della PSM, è stato affiancato dai missionari rogazionisti del paese: P. Welbert Llyd Suarez, RCJ; P. Zander Conson, RCJ; P. PJ Mapacpac, RCJ; e P. Jose Roque Arreza, RCJ, in un incontro con i rappresentanti dell'Arcidiocesi di Port Moresby, tra cui P. Justin Nenat, SVD, il Vicario Generale; P. Bruce, il Vicario Pastorale; e P. Carol, MSC, il Segretario dell'Arcivescovo.
Questo incontro ha affermato l'impegno dei Rogazionisti nei confronti dell'Arcidiocesi e ha segnato la nomina di P. Zander Conson, RCJ, come nuovo Direttore del St. Joseph's International Catholic College. Entrambe le parti hanno espresso gratitudine per la loro partnership e hanno condiviso una visione di collaborazione, soprattutto nelle iniziative educative.
Il St. Joseph's International Catholic College è stato fondato nel 1917 dalle Figlie di Nostra Signora dei Sacri Cuori (OLSH) ed è uno dei più antichi della Papua Nuova Guinea. L'attuale campus si trova a Boroko, Port Moresby. La scuola offre un'istruzione che va dall'età prescolare a tutti i gradi fino al 12° anno.
