Il 15 agosto 2023, solennità dell'Assunzione della Beata Vergine Maria, la scuola pluriclasse "St. Hannibal" (St. Hannibal Multi-level School) di Paranque ha celebrato l'apertura del nuovo anno scolastico 2023-2024. Ottantacinque alunni sono stati accolti con gioia. Tutti provengono da famiglie povere che vivono nel quartiere della parrocchia di Nostra Signora del Santissimo Rosario.
I genitori e tutori sono stati condotti a un orientamento generale sulle politiche scolastiche, sulle attività e sui progetti e programmi futuri. P. Ronald Masilang, il nuovo direttore della scuola, è stato presentato insieme a tutti gli insegnanti e al personale. Questa occasione è stata anche un'opportunità per esortare gli studenti, i loro genitori e i loro tutori a perseguire i loro sogni, soprattutto il sogno di Dio per le loro famiglie.
In seguito, tutti si sono riuniti nella chiesa parrocchiale per la celebrazione della Santa Messa presieduta da P. Masilang, P. Breynard Peji, RCJ, ex direttore della scuola, e P. Chris Melvic Floralde, RCJ, il nuovo parroco della parrocchia di Nostra Signora del Santissimo Rosario e economo della Fondazione. Erano presenti anche diversi amici e benefattori.
L'inaugurazione del nuovo anno scolastico si è conclusa con un semplice pranzo sponsorizzato dalla signora Edna Cubar e dalla sua famiglia e con la distribuzione di divise, scarpe, borse e materiale scolastico fornito da alcuni generosi benefattori.
Paranaque: Multi-Level School Opens School Year 2023-2024
On August 15, 2023, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the St. Hannibal Multilevel School in Paranaque celebrated the opening of the new school year 2023-2024. Eighty-five students were joyfully welcomed. They all come from poor families living in the neighborhood of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish.
A general orientation on school policies, activities, and future projects or programs was conducted with the parents and guardians. Fr. Ronald N. Masilang, the new school principal, was introduced along with all the teachers and staff. This occasion was also an opportunity to exhort the students, their parents, and guardians to pursue their dreams, especially God's dream for their families.
Afterward, everyone gathered at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Parish Church for the celebration of Holy Mass presided by Fr. Masilang. Breynard Peji, RCJ, former principal of the school, and Fr. Chris Melvic Floralde, RCJ, the newly appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish and financial officer of the Foundation. Several friends and benefactors were also present.
The opening of the new school year concluded with a simple lunch sponsored by Mrs. Edna Cubar and her family, and the distribution of uniforms, shoes, bags, and school supplies provided by some generous benefactors.
