(April 24) The theme of this year’s General Assembly “I have come that they may have life, and have it in its fullness” (John 10:10) is permeated by the life-giving and hope-giving Good News of Easter. In tune with the Eucharistic Year we Rogationists celebrate, the on-going 3-day retreat has dedicated daily an hour and a half community adoration around the Eucharist to be imbued by the life-giving Lord. Praying and listening to the inspiration radiating from the Blessed Sacrament aims to be attuned and conform to the Will of God which the General Assembly will discern together in common in the later part of the week.
Another feature of today’s schedule is the common penitential service followed by individual confessions. It is fitting to start the General Assembly with each one reconciled with God and confreres. Reconciliation allows the grace to fill our lives and makes each one docile to the stirrings of the Holy Spirit.
