Blessing of the New Seminary and Acceptance of New Seminarians Conclude Canonical Visit in Indonesia

The new Rogationist Seminary in Ribang, Maumere, Indonesia was blessed on August 8, 2018 by Fr. Herman Abcede, Provincial of St. Matthew Province, at conclusion of his canonical visit to the Missionary Station. Moreover, during the same occasion, 11 new aspirants in the preparatory year (propaedeutic) were admitted for the School Year 2018-2019. 

Fr. Abcede was in Indonesia on August 3-11 to meet with the religious community, seminarians and lay collaborators. He also visited Fr. Edgar Dacaldacal in the island of Surabaya where he is currently recuperating at the hospital after a serious road accident.

The seminary building was finally completed after almost three years of construction, thanks to solidary of the many Rogationist communities and confreres all over the world who contributed funds for it. 

The seminarians will transfer to this new structure for the new School Year which starts in September. At the moment, there are 10 Indonesian Rogationists (1 priest, 1 deacon and 8 Religious students) and 45 Indonesian Rogationist seminarians.
