The first four Vietnamese Rogationist priests celebrated their Thanksgiving Mass together in the Chapel of the Provincial House of the Sisters of the Holy Rosary in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on October 24, 2018, highlighting the 15th year anniversary of the start of the Rogationist presence in Vietnam. The new priests are Fr. Joseph Hoang Xuan Huong RCJ, Fr. Peter Hoang Van Dong RCJ, Fr. Phan Hoang Nguyen RCJ and Fr. Nguyen Truong Thinh RCJ. They entered the Congregation 12 years ago. They were ordained priests by Bishop Elmer Jose Mangalinao of the Diocese of Bayongbong on October 20, 2018 in the Rogationist Parish of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary in Paranaque, Philippines, together with three other Rogationist companions. Many relatives and friends came from Vietnam for the occasion, but many more could not come to attend. For this reason, a common Thanksgiving Mass was organized in this Vietnamse City in order for other relatives and friends to take part in the grace of the priestly ordination. Fr. Orville Cajigal RCJ, the newly elected Provincial Superior of the St. Matthew Province where the Missionary Station of Vietnam belongs, graced the event. Fr. Rodolfo Patiag RCJ, Prefect of the the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies in Paranaque, was also present. Other Rogationists priest, priests from the diocese and other religious congregations, and religious sisters and brothers, and Rogationist seminarians also participated. Reception was held at the nearby events hall run by the Sisters of the Living Water. The newly ordained Rogationist priests are scheduled to celebrate the Thanksgiving Mass in their respective hometown parishes, with the permission of the local authorities.
