St. John Berchmans, Patron of the Novitiate of St. Matthew Province

The Novitiate of St. Matthew Province in Silang, Cavite, Philippines celebrated the Feast of St. John Berchmans who was declared Patron of the Novitiate of the Circumscription in 1980. St. Hannibal Mary proclaimed the young Jesuit Religious student as a Heavenly Rogationist on August 13, 1916.
This year's Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr. Orville Cajigal, Provinicial Superior, with some confreres representing some Rogationist communities. For this formation year, there are ten novices (two of whom are from the Our Lady of Guadalupe Delegation) under the guidance of Fr. Ulysses Angus, the Novice Master.
