ALUVA: In the Jubilee year of the presence of the Rogationists in India, the Association of the Family Rog was launched in India. The inauguration took place at the premises of Rogationist Indian Quasi Province on December 10, 2011 at 3 p.m. This meeting was organized by the Rogate Vocation Center. The participation of more than 30 families is a good sign that lay people are interested and concerned of the Rogate. Different categories of families enrich the Association. It was officially opened by Rev. Fr. Luigi Toffanin, rcj, Major Superior of the Rogationists in India. Fr. Varghese Panickassery, the Secretary of the Quasi Province read the message of Rev. Fr. Matteo Sanavio, rcj, General Consultor in-charge for the Lay Associations. Fr. Sabu Pulimalayil, rcj, the Director of Rogate Charity Center presented the life and Charism of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia. Fr. Devassy Painadath, rcj, responsible of the Rogate Vocation Center gave the necessary orientations for the smooth functioning of the Association. The first encounter was concluded with half an hour of Eucharistic Adoration. The presence of other Rogationist priests and religious together with some Daughters of Divine Zeal sisters was a good witnessing to this simple but meaningful event.
