(9 aprile 2024) Il secondo giorno dell'Assemblea Generale della Provincia San Matteo è stato benedetto dal 25° anniversario dell'ordinazione sacerdotale di P. Alvin Fulgencio, che ha presieduto la Santa Messa. P. Antonio Nocellado, che festeggiava il suo compleanno, e P. Jose Maria Ezpeleta sono stati i principali concelebranti.
Dopo la colazione, i novanta confratelli partecipanti all'Assemblea si sono riuniti nell'Auditorium del Collegio Rogazionista - Silang per ascoltare l'aggiornamento e la relazione del Governo della Provincia San Matteo presentata da P. John Francis Aberion. Poi il Vicario generale, P. Ezpeleta, ha letto il messaggio del Superiore generale, P. Bruno Rampazzo, e ha fatto una breve presentazione dei principali punti di riflessione per ulteriori discussioni e condivisioni nei gruppi nei prossimi giorni. È seguito un forum aperto tra i partecipanti.
Nel pomeriggio, P. Cajigal, Superiore Provinciale, ha condiviso le sue riflessioni e le sue risposte alle domande poste dai partecipanti nella sessione mattutina. P. Ronaldo Paulino ha poi presentato le "Conversazioni spirituali" che sono state scelte come metodo per la condivisione e le discussioni di gruppo previste per domani. Si tratta del metodo utilizzato nelle parrocchie, nelle diocesi e in altri luoghi per il Sinodo sulla sinodalità. Consiste nell'ascolto orante e attento dello Spirito Santo e dell'altro per discernere il percorso da seguire nel camminare insieme come Provincia. In seguito, i partecipanti hanno trascorso un'ora di preghiera davanti al Santissimo Sacramento e hanno concluso con i Vespri, portando in preghiera le domande che saranno utilizzate durante le "Conversazioni spirituali".
I partecipanti si sono uniti alla comunità religiosa e ai ragazzi internati del St. Anthony's Boys Village per la cena in occasione del 25° anniversario dell'ordinazione sacerdotale di P. Fulgencio e del compleanno di P. Nocellado.
St. Matthew Province General Assembly 2024 (Day 2)
(April 9, 2024) The second day of the General Assembly of St. Matthew Province was blessed by the 25th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Fr. Alvin Fulgencio, who presided at the Mass. Fr. Antonio Nocellado, who was celebrating his birthday, and Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta were the main concelebrants.
After breakfast, the ninety confreres attending the Assembly gathered in the Rogationist College-Silang Auditorium to hear the update and report of the St. Matthew Province Government presented by Fr. John Francis Aberion. Then the Vicar General, Fr. Ezpeleta, read the message of the Superior General, Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, and made a brief presentation of the main points of reflection for further discussion and sharing in the groups in the coming days. An open forum among the participants followed.
In the afternoon, Fr. Cajigal, Provincial Superior, shared his reflections and answers to questions posed by participants in the morning session. Fr. Ronaldo Paulino then presented the "Spiritual Conversations" that was chosen as the method for the sharing and group discussions scheduled for the following. This is the method used in parishes, dioceses and other places for the Synod on Synodality. It consists of prayerful and attentive listening to the Holy Spirit and each other to discern the path to follow in walking together as a province. Afterwards, the participants spent an hour in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and concluded with Vespers, bringing to prayer the guide questions that will be used during the "Spiritual Conversations."
The participants joined the religious community and intern boys of St. Anthony's Boys Village for dinner to mark the 25th anniversary of Fr. Fulgencio's priestly ordination and Fr. Nocellado's birthday.
