Il secondo giorno dell'Assemblea Annuale è iniziato con la celebrazione della Santa Messa, presieduta da P. Vito Di Marzio, che quest'anno celebra il suo 50° anniversario di sacerdozio. Nell'omelia, ha sottolineato tre punti: 1) Il giorno del suo sacerdozio, 2) Il primo incarico, e 3) il segreto per superare qualsiasi crisi personale. In primo luogo, ci ha raccontato che fu Papa Paolo VI a presiedere la Messa della sua ordinazione, un giorno indimenticabile perché fu ordinato con oltre 300 diaconi in Vaticano. Sentiva un forte senso di appartenenza alla Chiesa Cattolica come Chiesa Universale. In secondo luogo, in quel periodo, il Superiore Generale lo assegnò alle missioni nelle Filippine. Vi andò insieme a Padre Diego, che, durante il suo primo anno in quel Paese, perse la vita in un incidente stradale. Fu un evento tragico e fatale. Rimase nelle Filippine per 16 anni. Andò in Africa e, a causa della guerra, rientrò in Italia e dall'Italia negli Stati Uniti, dove si è sempre trovato bene. In terzo luogo, ricordò che ogni vocazione, comporta la croce o la crisi della vita. Imparò che nei momenti difficili, avrebbe guardato alla Croce e contemplato Gesù sulla Croce sofferente, sentendosi abbandonato e solo; tuttavia, fu capace di amare, di affidarsi alle mani del Padre e di avere speranza. Allo stesso modo, ebbe anche forza, coraggio e le motivazioni per sorridere anche nel mezzo di una crisi, imparando dalla sofferenza di Gesù sulla Croce. Dopo la Messa, si è iniziato l'incontro di Assemblea, alle 9:15. I membri del Governo della Delegazione hanno presentato le rispettive relazioni. P. Fiorenza ha presentato la sua relazione in qualità di Superiore della Delegazione. Ha fornito un'ampia descrizione della Delegazione di Nostra Signora di Guadalupe. Poi, P. Javier Flores (su Laici Rogazionisti, Pastorale Giovanile e Promozione Vocazionale). Infine, P. Denney Joseph (su Carità e Missione) ha letto la sua relazione. Ogni relazione è stata seguita da un forum aperto in cui alcuni membri dell'Assemblea hanno condiviso le loro opinioni. Le diverse opinioni su ogni relazione sono state molto apprezzate e aiuteranno il Governo della Delegazione nel discernimento. L'Assemblea ha gustato un delizioso pranzo e si è presa una pausa fino alle 15:30. L'Assemblea è proseguita con la relazione di P. Santi sul Centro di Carità Sant'Antonio. Ha parlato delle attività di raccolta fondi: Facebook, pellegrinaggio e appelli missionari. Anche i Formatori hanno condiviso le loro relazioni, come P. Antonio Carlucci e P. Saji. Inoltre, Padre Thomas ha inviato la sua relazione sull'adozione a distanza, che P. Denney ha letto a tutti i membri. Si è conclusa la giornata con un momento di preghiera davanti al Santissimo Sacramento e la recita dei Vespri. È seguita con la cena. DNSG - Thursday, November 20, Second Day of the Annual Assembly
The second day of the Annual Assembly started with the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided by Fr. Vito Di Marzio, who is celebrating his 50th Priestly Anniversary this year. In the homily, he pointed out three points: 1) The day of his priesthood, 2) The first assignment, and 3) the secret of passing through any personal crisis. First, he told us that it was Pope Paul VI who presided over the Mass of his ordination, an unforgettable day because he was ordained with more than 300 deacons at the Vatican. He felt a strong sense of belonging to the Catholic Church as being Universal. Secondly, at that time, the General Superior assigned him to the missions in the Philippines. He went together with Fr. Diego, who, in the first year in this country, lost his life in a car accident. It was a tragic and fatal event. He stayed in the Philippines for 16 years. He went to Africa, and because of the war, he went to Italy and from Italy to the USA, where he has been ever since. Thirdly, like in any vocation, it entails the cross or crisis in life. He learned that in tough moments, he would look to the Cross and contemplate Jesus on the Cross suffering, feeling abandoned and alone; however, he was able to love, to trust himself to the Father’s hands, and be hopeful. In the same way, he also receives strength, courage, and the reason to smile even in the midst of a crisis by learning from the suffering of Jesus on the Cross.
After the Mass, we began the meeting at 9:15 AM. The members of the Delegation Government presented their respective reports. Fr. Fiorenza gave his report as the Superior of the Delegation. He gave a wide description of Our Lady of Guadalupe Delegation. Then, Fr. Javier Flores (on Rogationist Laity, Youth Ministry and Vocation Promotion). Finally, Fr. Denney Joseph (on Charity and Mission) read his report. Each report was followed by an open forum wherein some members of the Assembly shared their opinions. The diverse opinions on any report were very much appreciated and will help the Delegation Government for discernment.
The Assembly enjoyed a succulent lunch and took a break until 3:30 PM. The Assembly continued with the report of Fr. Santi on St. Anthony Charity Center. He touched upon fundraiser activities: Facebook, pilgrimage, and Mission Appeals.

Furthermore, Fr. Thomas sent his report on Adoption at Distance, which Fr. Denney read to all the members.
We ended the day with a moment of prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament and said the Vespers. We concluded the day with dinner.
