Nell'agosto 2023, la Missione Rogazionista in Vietnam ha inaugurato un dormitorio per studenti come parte del suo apostolato nel territorio, ispirandosi all'Art. 97 delle Norme che recita: “Nelle parrocchie e nelle case, ove possibile, promuoviamo oratori e altre forme di aggregazione giovanile (ad esempio, pensioni per giovani studenti e lavoratori) come mezzi efficaci per un servizio di educazione umana e cristiana e di promozione vocazionale”. Questo dormitorio prende il nome dall'ultimo giovane santo, Carlo Acutis, la cui canonizzazione è prevista per il 7 settembre 2025.
Il dormitorio Rogate “Carlo Acustis” si trova nel distretto di Gò Vấp, a Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam. È stato realizzato con la missione di accompagnare e sostenere gli studenti universitari cattolici che frequentano le scuole superiori e le università della città. È diventato una casa comune per i giovani lontani dalle loro famiglie, offrendo loro un ambiente dove possono studiare e crescere nella fede e nella maturità umana.
Attualmente, il collegio ospita 15 studenti provenienti da diverse province del Paese. I sacerdoti Rogazionisti e gli studenti religiosi accompagnano questi giovani con dedizione, non solo prendendosi cura dei loro bisogni materiali, ma anche incoraggiandoli a crescere integralmente: nel corpo, nello spirito e nelle capacità umane.
La vita quotidiana nel collegio è caratterizzata dallo studio, dalla condivisione delle faccende domestiche, dagli sport nel fine settimana, dalla partecipazione alla Santa Messa, dalla preghiera serale, dallo studio della Bibbia e dall'approfondimento dello spirito del Rogate. Inoltre, gli studenti sono coinvolti in attività apostoliche, come la distribuzione di pane ai poveri ogni sabato mattina.
Giorno dopo giorno, in un ambiente di fraternità e guida spirituale, i giovani crescono nella fede, nella maturità personale e nel senso di responsabilità verso la società. Il Dormitorio Rogate “Carlo Acutis” diventa così una culla che forma cristiani esemplari e cittadini utili, contribuendo alla costruzione di un mondo più umano e pieno di speranza.
Nell'aprile 2025 è stato inaugurato un secondo Dormitorio Rogate anche nel distretto di Go Vap di Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam.
Rogate Dormitory "Carlo Acutis"
In August 2023, the Rogationist Mission in Vietnam inaugurted the a dormitory for students as part of its apostolate in the territory, inspired by the Art. 97 of the Norms that states, "In Parishes and Houses, where it is possible, we promote Oratories and other forms of youth gatherings (e.g., boarding houses for young students and workers) as effective means for a service of human, Christian education and vocation promotion." This dormitory is named after the latest young saint, Carlo Acutis, whose canonization is set on September 7, 2025.
The Rogate Dormitory "Carlo Acustis" is located in Gò Vấp District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was established with the mission of accompanying and supporting Catholic university students attending high schools and universities in the city. It has become a common home for young people far from their families, providing them with an environment where they can study and grow in faith and human maturity.
Currently, the boarding school houses 15 students from different provinces of the country. The Rogationist priests and religious students accompany these young people with dedication, not only taking care of their material needs, but also encouraging them to grow integrally: in body, spirit, and human skills.
Daily life at the boarding school is marked by study, sharing household chores, weekend sports, participation in Holy Mass, evening prayer, Bible study, and the deepeing of the spirit of Rogate. In addition, students are involved in apostolic activities, such as distributing bread to the poor every Saturday morning.
Day after day, in an environment of fraternity and spiritual guidance, young people grow in faith, personal maturity, and a sense of responsibility towards society. The Rogate Dormitory "Carlo Acutis" thus becomes a cradle that forms exemplary Christians and useful citizens, contributing to the construction of a more humane and hopeful world.
In April 2025, a second Rogate Dormitory has been inaugurated also in Go Vap District of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
