South Korean Medical Mission in the Philippines

The Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus Missionary Station of Seoul, South Korea organized once again this year a Medical Mission in various parishes in Central Luzon in the Philippines. It was co-organized by various groups: Joseph Clinic (Malabon City), Lukes Association of OSAN Vicariate of Diocese of Suwon, South Korea and sponsored by JejuAir Inc., Yeongduengpo Joseph Clinic and Galgotdong Parish Church.

The first day of the medical mission was held on September 23, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel-Sitio Ipo, Brgy. Bunducan, Bocaue, Bulacan. The mission started with a Sunday Mass, attended by the medical team and the villagers of Sitio Ipo. Almost 600 patients were received on that day, either for medical health check-up, for dental check up or for infants and children. Aside from the medical team, there were also some volunteers who joined the mission in order to assist the Korean Doctors and Nurses in the organization of the said activity.

In the afternoon, the team also organized a feeding program for all the villagers especially for the children. The feeding program was in coordination with the Sto. Cristo and St. Andrew Kim Taegon Parish of Bulacan. The day ended with smiles and laughter both for the villagers and the medical team who in one way or the other felt inspired to continue sharing their services towards the Filipino community.

On September 24, 2018, the second day of the medical mission was held at the Sto. Rosario Parish, Dampalit, Malabon City. On this day, there were again around 600 patients, children and old, men and women, who came for medical check-up and consultation. There were also an acupuncture and ventosa session during this day vis-à-vis with the main mission for dental, internal medicine health check-up and for health consultation of infants and children. The mission started in the morning and ended late in the afternoon. It was a smooth and successful activity spreading the work of the Rogate towards the poor and the less fortunate.

On September 25, 2018 as the final day of the medical mission, the whole team celebrated the Holy Mass at Sto. Cristo and St. Andrew Taegon Parish in the morning.
