On August 6, 2023, the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, St. Hannibal Formation Center-Cebu (Rogationist Seminary Cebu) warmly welcomed seven new aspirants through the Rite of Acceptance and Holy Mass presided by the Seminary Superior, Fr. Dante Quidayan, RCJ. The event was graced by the presence of the aspirants' relatives and friends of the seminary.
During the Holy Mass, Fr. Dante's homily emphasized the meaning of the Transfiguration in those who continually encounter Jesus in the Eucharist. He also encouraged the seminarians to persevere and nourish their relationship with the Lord through the sacraments. Before the final blessing, the thirty-six seminarians renewed their commitment to journey with open and generous hearts in the formation of rogation aspirants. After Holy Mass, all were invited to breakfast with the community, where they exchanged congratulations and rejoiced in the community's welcome of the new aspirants and in the renewal of the commitment of the other seminarians.
For the formative year 2023-2023, the Rogationist Seminary in Cebu is composed of 11 religious priests and religious in practical training and 43 seminarians in high school and college (philosophy).
Ammissione di nuovi aspiranti e rinnovo dell'impegno dei seminaristi
Il 6 agosto 2023, festa della Trasfigurazione del Signore, il Centro di Formazione St. Hannibal di Cebu (Seminario Rogazionista di Cebu) ha accolto calorosamente sette nuovi aspiranti attraverso il Rito di Accettazione e la Santa Messa presieduta dal Superiore del Seminario, P. Dante Quidayan, RCJ. L'evento è stato allietato dalla presenza dei parenti degli aspiranti e degli amici del seminario.
Durante la Santa Messa, l'omelia di P. Dante ha sottolineato il significato della Trasfigurazione che avviene in coloro che incontrano continuamente Gesù nell'Eucaristia. Ha inoltre incoraggiato i seminaristi a perseverare e a nutrire il loro rapporto con il Signore attraverso i sacramenti. Prima della benedizione finale, i trentasei seminaristi hanno rinnovato il loro impegno a camminare con cuore aperto e generoso nella formazione degli aspiranti alla rogazione. Dopo la Santa Messa, tutti sono stati invitati a fare colazione con la comunità, dove si sono scambiati le congratulazioni e hanno gioito per l'accoglienza dei nuovi aspiranti e per il rinnovo dell'impegno degli altri seminaristi.
Per l'anno formativo 2023-2023, il Seminario Rogazionista di Cebu è composto da 11 sacerdoti religiosi e religiosi in tirocinio e 43 seminaristi in liceo e università (filosofia).
