(25 novembre) Mons. Wilfredo Manlapaz, vescovo emerito della diocesi di Tagum, ha presieduto la celebrazione eucaristica per l'apertura ufficiale del triennio di preparazione all'anno giubilare del 50° anniversario della presenza rogazionista nelle Filippine e in Asia (2023-2026). Un gran numero di sacerdoti rogazionisti si è unito a lui nella Cappella dello Spirito Santo del Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies di Paranaque. Alla Messa di ringraziamento hanno partecipato i religiosi e i formandi rogazionisti, gli studenti, i collaboratori laici e i parrocchiani, oltre alle FDZ e ad altre congregazioni. Il primo missionario rogazionista, p. Antonio Barbagello, arrivò nelle Filippine il 23 novembre 1976. Un mese dopo lo raggiunsero i padri Diego Buscio e Vito Di Marzio.
Nella sua omelia, Mons. Manlapaz ha ricordato con affetto il suo ruolo agli inizi della missione qui nelle Filippine. Divenne un amico intimo di P. Diego Buscio, RCJ, che fu suo compagno all'Università Lateranense. Fu lui a insegnare a p. Diego le basi della lingua filippina, prima ancora che p. Diego partisse per le Filippine. Ha esortato i rogazionisti a seguire le orme di Sant'Annibale Maria perché è un modo sicuro per seguire Cristo Re che ha servito i poveri e i bisognosi. Dopo la Messa, P. Ronaldo Paulino, RCJ, a nome della Provincia San Matteo, ha ringraziato il Vescovo Manlapaz per aver reso speciale la celebrazione di apertura.
Il tema del primo anno (2023-2024) è "Daop-Palad" (mani giunte), che intende concentrarsi sull'aspetto del cammino spirituale delle celebrazioni del 50° anno giubilare. Nell'auditorium del Rogationist College-Paranaque si è tenuta una conferenza e una catechesi sul triennio di preparazione e celebrazione del Giubileo. Padre Joel Ricafranca, RCJ, ha presentato il Primer sul Triennio e la celebrazione del Giubileo. Dopo la relazione, Padre Joel e Padre Jessie Martirizar, RCJ, hanno risposto a domande, suggerimenti e interventi. Padre Ricardo Pignatelli, Consigliere Generale per le Missioni all'epoca dell'apertura delle Missioni nelle Filippine, ha ricordato attraverso un'intervista registrata come gli inizi delle Missioni siano avvenuti 47 anni fa. Padre Orville Cajigal, Superiore Provinciale della Provincia San Matteo, che attualmente si trova in Australia, ha dato il suo messaggio online e ha aperto ufficialmente il triennio di preparazione.
Dopo cena, nel campo da basket coperto del Centro Studi P. Di Francia, si è svolto il concerto Rogate et Cantate. La prima parte è stata dedicata alla presentazione e alla premiazione dei loghi vincitori. Il signor Edmon Fuerte, un designer grafico di Baguio City, ha vinto il primo premio per il Logo para sa Jubileo.
I sei finalisti del Rogate et Cantate hanno eseguito dal vivo le loro canzoni per il pubblico. Durante l'intervallo si sono esibiti anche gli religiosi Studenti del Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies, i postulanti e i seminaristi del Seminario di Manila. I vincitori del "Rogate et Cantate: Concorso di composizione di canzoni" sono

Three Years of Preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the Rogationist Presence in the Philippines
(Nov. 25) Mons. Wilfredo Manlapaz, DD, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Tagum, presided over the Eucharistic Celebration for the official opening of the three-year preparation for the Jubilee Year of the 50th Anniversary of the Rogationist Presence in the Philippines and Asia (2023-2026). A large number of Rogationist priests joined him in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies in Paranaque. The Thanksgiving Mass was attended by the Rogationist religious and formands, students, lay collaborators and parishioners, as well as the FDZ and other congregations. The first Rogationist missionary, Fr. Antonio Barbagello, arrived in the Philippines on November 23, 1976. A month later, he was joined by Frs. Diego Buscio and Vito Di Marzio.
In his homily, Bishop Manlapaz fondly recalled his part in the beginnings of the mission here in the Philippines. He became a close friend of Fr. Diego Buscio, RCJ, who was his companion at the Lateran University. He was the one who taught Fr. Diego the basics of the Filipino language even before Fr. Diego left for the Philippines. He also exhorted the Rogationists to follow the footsteps of St. Hannibal Mary because it is a sure way to follow Christ the King who served the poor and the needy. After Mass, Fr. Ronaldo Paulino, RCJ, on behalf of the Saint Matthew Province, thanked Bishop Manlapaz for gracing the opening celebration.

After dinner, in the covered basketball court of the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies, the Rogate et Cantate concert took place. The first part was dedicated to the presentation and awarding of the winning logos. Mr. Edmon Fuerte, a graphic designer from Baguio City, won the first prize for the Logo para sa Jubileo.
Six finalists of the Rogate et Cantate performed their song entries live for the audience. The religious students from the Father Di Francia Center of Studies, the Rogation postulants and the seminarians from the Father Hannibal Formation Center also performed during the intermission.
