As the Holy Father proclaimed 2009 – 2010 as the Year for Priests, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the “dies natalis” of John Mary Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests worldwide, the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus is blessed with the Priestly Ordination of Rev. Fr. Gerald Tuzon Biñegas the first Rogationist priest from Abra. Fr Gerald was ordained through the prayers and imposition of the hands of Bishop Leopoldo Jaucian, SVD, D.D. Bishop of the Diocese of Bangued last October 31 in the Holy Cross Parish Lagangilan, Abra. This remarkable event was graced with the presence of various Rogationist communities, different religious congregation, members of the Union of Prayer for Vocations, family, relatives, benefactors, and friends of the newly ordained priest.
