The Rogationist Seminary-Cebu celebrated the Opening of the 25^th Anniversary of its foundation and held a dinner for a cause last September 14, 2014, Sunday Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross.  The Mass was celebrated at 5:00 pm for the Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross and for the success of the Opening of the 25^th Anniversary of the Rogationist Seminary-Cebu foundation.  The main presider of the Mass was Fr. Herman Abcede, RCJ, Provincial Superior of the Rogationist of the Heart of Jesus Philippine Province.  After the Mass, a dinner for a cause was held in the Rogationist Seminary-Cebu gymnasium.  Fr. Ronaldo Paulino, RCJ gave the Opening Remarks, and he highlighted in general the progress and the improvement of the seminary as it is now journey towards the celebration of its 25^th year of Celebrating, Proclaiming, and Living the Rogate.  The seminarians showcased their talents by presenting some performances like Sinulog dance, ethnic dance, modern dance, shadow play, and song numbers that greatly appreciated by their parents, benefactors, and some guests coming from Manila, Iloilo, and Mindanao.  Fr. Herman gave his short Closing Remarks to the visitors and he also declared the official opening of the 25^th Anniversary foundation of the Rogationist Seminary-Cebu.  Bro. Alex C. Henon, RCJ

A 9ª assembleia da Província São Lucas teve início na manhã do dia 15 de setembro, com Eucaristia, presidida pelo Superior Geral Pe. Ângelo Ademir Mezzari. Em sua homilia, ele rendeu graças pelo momento vivido, refletiu as leituras meditadas na memória de Nossa Senhora das Dores, mencionou a história e a vida do Pe. José Jonas, que faleceu a 30 dias, e encerrou desejando que as luzes do Espírito acompanhem os capitulares. À tarde seguiu-se a seção de início dos trabalhos, com chamada dos convocados, aprovação do regulamento, indicação dos escrutinadores (aqueles que conduzem as votações), eleição do secretário e dos moderadores. Para tais funções foram eleitos Pe. Maike Léo Grapiglia e Diác. Nilson Rocha (escrutinadores), Pe. Carlos André da Silva (secretário), Pe. Gilson Luiz Maia e Valmir de Costa (respectivamente 1º e 2º moderadores). Este momento inicial é de grande importância porque define o andamento dos trabalhos durante toda a semana. O capítulo que teve início hoje durará até sexta-feira, ao meio dia, com encerramento previsto com almoço. Após a aprovação da programação, foram feitas leituras contendo o relatório do Governo Provincial (2010-2014) que seguiu-se, após breve intervalo, da oração das vésperas e jantar. Na leitura do relatório, os capitulares puderam visualizar a trajetória do Governo nos serviços prestados pelo então provincial, Pe. Juarez Albino Destro, e pelos conselheiros do setor da Vida Religiosa\Formação\Permanente e o setor Rogate\ Animação Vocacional\Laicato\Paróquia, e amanhã continuará a leitura, conforme a programação.

Mezzari, con la partecipazione di tutti i religiosi di voti perpetui della Circoscrizione. I migliori auguri!

Ande Gebrehiwet , della Provincia Italia Centro-Sud, sarà ordinato sacerdote per l’imposizione delle mani e la preghiera consacratoria di S.E.R. Mons. Salvatore Ligorio, Arcivescovo di Matera-Irsina. P. Ande il giorno seguente, alle ore 11.00 celebrerà la Prima Santa Messa nella chiesa parrocchiale Sant’Antonio di Padova a Matera. Gli auguri più cari, uniti nella gratitudine e lode al Signore.

SUCAT, Paranaque City – On the Feast of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Province witnessed the Institution to the Ministries of 9 Lectors and 13 Acolytes, held at Father Di Francia Center of Studies in a concelebrated Mass in the evening presided by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Herman Abcede, RCJ. Religious, Postulants, Aspirants, friends, relatives and benefactors joined the celebration.

In his homily, Fr. Herman reflected on two major reasons to rejoice: the Birth of Mary, and the Institution to the Ministries of Acolytate and Lectorate. Focusing on the importance of grace, he reflected on the precious gifts which the People of God received from the Lord. “The birth of Mary”, he said, “is a pure grace from the Lord; she is the dawn of our salvation – and precisely the reason why we have to rejoice!”

Turning to the Lectors, Fr. Herman urged them towards their untiring commitment to proclaim the living Word of God in every liturgical celebration, where the People of God gather to celebrate the faith. He invited them, with the solicitous efforts of the Formators, to meditate, practice and live the Word of God in their daily lives.

As to the Acolytes, Fr. Herman invited them to live the Eucharist as they serve and assist in the liturgical celebration, while not neglecting also the meditation and practice of the proclamation of the Word of God which they also received as a ministry before.

To both, he concluded with the invitation to consider their ministry as “service” to God and to the People of God.

Eventually, the usual liturgical celebration followed. Before the Holy Mass ended, a short video was presented before the assembly which depicted the Rogationists’ presence in Indonesia. This was done in view of the Rogationist Mission day dedicated for the establishment of the seminary in Indonesia.

After the Holy Mass, a simple dinner was shared by everybody.

At around 4:00 in the afternoon, on the eve of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Chapel of St. Hannibal in FDZ Convent was filled with the majestic voices of the Rogationist Seminary Choir as they accompany Bro. Henrikus Gualbertus who will be professing his Perpetual Vows to the Congregaton of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus, through the hands of Fr. Breynard Peji, RCJ as the delegate of the Provincial Superior Fr. Herman Abcede. The Presiding Prelate is the Vicar of the Diocese, Fr. Wilhelmus Djulei Conterius, SVD. Some invited priests, in particular the Parish Priests where the Rogationists are present, were also present during Holy Mass. With the theme, “Let it be done to me according to your word”, Fr. Wilhelmus Djulei, in his homily, invited Bro. Henry and all the faithful, to look on the readiness and the faith of the Blessed Virgin Mary in answering the call of the Lord to become the Mother of the Saviour, that amidst the confusion and troubles that life is offering, the total trust and fidelity of Mary that God will never abandon his faithful people, becomes for us the model on how to become true followers of Christ in the modern times.

After the Holy Mass, there was a simple dinner and program offered for Bro. Henry. Family, friends, classmates, neighbors and ex-Rogationists were also present and greeted Fr. Henry. As tradition here in Maumere, a community dance closed the celebrations.

La festa della Bambinella Maria è una delle più care alla pietà del Padre Annibale. Egli “amò molto la Madonna, specialmente l’Immacolata e Maria Bambina. Scrisse molte poesie e cantici, che cantava lui stesso con noi con le braccia levate. La Bambina era poi la poesia del suo cuore: chi può descrivere quei per la sua festa, quando con ingenuità tutta sua, con un sorriso ed una parola, che sgorgava tenera e faconda dal suo labbro, ci trasportava in spirito a Nazareth, e ci faceva quasi aspettare, perché Gioacchino ed Anna ci dessero il permesso di visitare la neonata? Sono scene che si provano, ma non si dicono” (Positio super virtutibus, vol. 2 testimonianza n. 53, p. 429). La Madonna volle dargli un segno di gradimento del singolarissimo culto avuto per Lei, confortandolo nella sua ultima malattia e apparendogli, il giorno prima della sua morte, sotto le sembianze di bambima.

Nella festa della Natività della Beata Vergine Maria, con la benedizione del Signore, in alcune Case della nostra Congregazione vi sono le professioni religiose di diversi giovani.

In particolare, l’8 settembre, alle ore 19:00, nella Chiesa parrocchiale dei Santi Antonio e Annibale Maria a Roma, emettono la professione perpetua nelle mani del Superiore Generale, P. Angelo Mezzari, cinque religiosi delle due Province Italiane: Fr. Antonino Fiscella (ICS), Fr. Claudio Pizzuto (ICS), Fr. Giuseppe Pappalettera (ICS), Fr. Firas A. Kidher (ICN) e Fr. Erik Soltes (ICN). Nella stessa occasione, altri otto studenti religiosi delle due Province, rinnovano i voti religiosi. Domenica 7 settembre, alle 18:30, nella Chiesa Madre di Gaggi (Messina), nelle mani del Superiore Provinciale, P. Angelo Sardone, emette la professione perpetua Fr. Roberto Caminiti (ICS). L’8 settembre, nel Tempio della Rogazione Evangelica nella celebrazione eucaristica delle ore 18.00, due novizi della Provincia ICS emettono la prima professione religiosa.

In Africa, il 7 settembre, nella Parrocchia San Pio X di Ngoya, due confratelli camerunensi, Fr. Gabriel Ghislain Kom Noumbissie e Fr. Jean Marcel Moumeni Noumbissie emettono la Professione Perpetua. Nella stessa celebrazione eucaristica, quattordici altri confratelli provenienti dal Rwanda, dal Congo Democratico, dalla Repubblica Centroafricana e dal Camerun rinnoveranno i voti religiosi.

Nella Provincia San Matteo (Filippine) l’8 settembre, alle ore 18.00, nella cappella dello Studentato di Parañaque, nove giovani studenti religiosi ricevono il ministero del Lettorato e tredici quello dell’Accolitato.
