Il corso di formazione per formatori rogazionisti per l'anno scolastico 2023-2024 è stato formalmente inaugurato il 22 ottobre, 97ma Giornata Missionaria Mondiale, durante la celebrazione eucaristica presieduta da P. Bruno Rampazzo, Superiore Generale, nella Cappella della Curia Generalizia a Roma. P. Jose Maria Ezpeleta, Consigliere Generale per la Formazione, è responsabile del programma per i formatori e i sacerdoti-studenti che risiedono nella Curia Generalizia.
Il gruppo dei formatori di quest'anno è composto da cinque partecipanti, ovvero
1. P. Kritian Irvin Taok, filippino, della Provincia San Matteo. È il Prefetto degli Studi/Decano della Facolta' di Filosofia del Seminario Rogazionista di Cebu, nelle Filippine.
2. P. Jorge Casaberde, filippino, della Provincia San Matteo. È desitnato alla comunità di Manizales, in Colombia, sotto la Provincia Sant'Antonio.
3. P. Babu Abraham, indiano, della Quasi-Provincia San Tommaso. Fino a poco tempo fa era il maestro dei novizi della loro circoscrizione.
4. P. Theogene Twamugira, ruandese, della Quasi-Provincia San Giuseppe. È superiore e formatore degli studenti di filosofia a Kabgay, in Ruanda.
5. P. Isaac Kubanabantu, congolese, della Quasi-Provincia San Giuseppe. È assegnato alla comunità della Piccola Missione per i Sordomuti di Butembo, nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo.
La formazione dei formatori rogazionisti consiste in tre fasi:
Fase 1: Corso di lingua italiana (12 settimane, dal 23 ottobre 2023 al 2 febbraio 2024) presso il Centro linguistico Ciao Italia.
Fase 2: Formazione permanente per i formatori presso l'Università Pontificia Salesiana (UPS) (19 febbraio - 31 maggio 2024).
Fase 3: Approfondimento dei temi rogazionisti e visite alle comunità rogazioniste, in particolare quelle significative per la vita di Sant'Annibale e per la storia della Congregazione (giugno e luglio 2024).
Course for Rogationist Formators begins in Rome
The Course of Formation for Rogationist formators for the school year 2023-2024 was formally inaugurated on October 22, World Mission Sunday, during the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Bruno Rampazzo, Superior General, in the Chapel of the General Curia in Rome. Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta, General Councilor for Formation, is in charge of the program for formators and the priest-students who reside in the General Curia.
This year's group of formators is composed of five participants, namely
1. Fr. Kritian Irvin Taok, Filipino, of the St. Matthew Province. He is the Prefect of Studies/ Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Rogationist Seminary College in Cebu, Philippines.
2. Fr. Jorge Casaberde, Filipino, of the St. Matthew Province. He is assigned to the community of Manizales, Colombia, under the St. Anthony Province.
3. Fr. Babu Abrahan, Indian, of the St. Thomas Quasi Province. Until recently he was the novice master of their circumscription.
4. Fr. Theogene Twamugira, Rwandan, of the St. Joseph Quasi-Province. He is the superior and formator of the philosophy students in Kabgay, Rwanda.
5. Fr. Isaac Kubanabantu, Congolese, of the St. Joseph Quasi-Province. He is assigned to the community of the Little Mission for the Deaf and Mute in Butembo, Dem. Rep. of the Congo.
The formation of Rogationist formators consists of three phases:
Phase 1: Italian language course (12 weeks, from October 23, 2023 to February 2, 2024) at the Ciao Italia Language Center.
Phase 2: Ongoing formation for formators at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) (February 19 - May 31, 2024).
Phase 3: Deepening of Rogationist themes and visits to Rogationist communities, especially those that are significant in the life of St. Hannibal and in the history of the Congregation (June-July 2024).
