(31 October) The Gathering of the Families of Rogationist Priests of the St. Thomas Quasi Province, FAMIGLIA ROGATE, was held in the Malabar Zone (Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Wayanad) on 30 October 2023 at the Mananthavady Rogate Bhavan Minor Seminary from 10.30 am to 5 pm. It was the second phase of the programme, the first session of which was held on 14th August 2023 at Rogate Ashram, Aluva. The function began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Shajan. Vinish Naduvilpeedika, the Superior of Rogate Bhavan, welcomed everyone, and Fr. Fijo Melit delivered the homily. Frs. Shaju, Robin, Nikhil and Lijo Arackalan were the concelebrants.
After the Holy Mass, everyone had lunch, and then at 1.45 pm, everyone gathered in the social hall where the gathering was officially inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp and the message of Fr Shajan. Fr Francis Nellikkunnel, the parish priest, gave the blessing. After the inauguration, Fr Robin introduced the families of our priests to the present scenario of the Congregation and especially of our Quasi-Province. All those present introduced themselves. They said it was an opportunity to see each other again and to renew the bonds between them and the Quasi Province. During the meeting, Fr Robin invited the families to help the Church promote vocations in any way they could and to join the Rogaitonist Family Prayer Union. The meeting ended at 3.15 p.m. and then the Brothers presented their beautiful cultural programmes for the parents and families gathered. After the cultural programme, the parents also witnessed the grand opening of the Rogate Sports Festival, which Fr Shajan inaugurated. Augustine, the father of Frs. James and Deepu, thanked us for this wonderful event and underlined the hospitality of the Rogationist Congregation, which is very special to us and distinguishes us as a Congregation. Fr Robin thanked everyone for their presence and participation and all those who had joined hands for this memorable event. Tea was then served and on leaving everyone was given a packet of sweets as a token of our love and appreciation.
India: Raduno della Famiglia Rogate
(31 ottobre) La riunione delle famiglie dei sacerdoti rogazionisti della quasi-Provincia San Tommaso, FAMIGLIA ROGATE, si è tenuta nella Zona di Malabar (Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode e Wayanad) il 30 ottobre 2023 presso il Seminario Minore di Mananthavady Rogate Bhavan dalle 10.30 alle 17.00. Si tratta della seconda fase del programma, la cui prima sessione si è tenuta il 14 agosto 2023 presso il Rogate Ashram di Aluva. La funzione è iniziata con la Santa Eucaristia presieduta da P. Shajan. P. Vinish Naduvilpeedika, il Superiore di Rogate Bhavan, ha dato il benvenuto a tutti e P. Fijo Melit ha tenuto l'omelia. Pp. Shaju, Robin, Nikhil e Lijo Arackalan sono stati i concelebranti.
Dopo la Santa Messa, tutti hanno pranzato e alle 13.45 si sono riuniti nella sala sociale dove il raduno è stato inaugurato ufficialmente con l'accensione della lampada e il messaggio di P. Shajan. Don Francis Nellikkunnel, il parroco, ha impartito la benedizione. Dopo l'inaugurazione, P. Robin ha presentato alle famiglie dei nostri sacerdoti lo scenario attuale della Congregazione e in particolare della nostra Quasi Provincia. Tutti i presenti si sono presentati. Hanno detto che è stata un'occasione per rivedersi e per rinnovare i legami tra loro e la Quasi Provincia. Durante l'incontro, P. Robin ha invitato le famiglie ad aiutare la Chiesa a promuovere le vocazioni in qualsiasi modo possibile e a unirsi all'Unione di preghiera delle famiglie rogazioniste. L'incontro si è concluso alle 15.15 e i seminaristi hanno presentato i loro bellissimi spettacoli culturali ai genitori e alle famiglie riunite. Dopo le attività musicali, i genitori hanno assistito all'apertura del Festival dello Sport Rogate, inaugurato da P. Shajan. Sig. Augustine, il padre di P. James e P. Deepu, ci ha ringraziato per questo meraviglioso evento e ha sottolineato l'ospitalità della Congregazione Rogazionista, che è molto speciale per noi e ci contraddistingue come Congregazione. P. Robin ha ringraziato tutti per la loro presenza e partecipazione e tutti coloro che si sono uniti per questo evento memorabile. È stato poi servito il tè e all'uscita tutti hanno ricevuto un pacchetto di dolci in segno di affetto e apprezzamento.
