Rogationist Academy, 1 March. 17, Aluva: The Rogationist Academy, Aluva celebrated its magnificent and reverberating Annual Day and Kindergarten Graduation Day on Saturday, February 25, 2017 amidst great zest, vibrance and elation. Mr. Askar Ameer, a famous cine and serial artist was the esteemed Chief Guest. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Abraham Francis, an associate professor in Social work and human services at James Cook University in Australia and Very Rev. Fr. Shajan Pazhayil RCJ, Provincial of the Congregation of the Rogationists.

Rev. Fr. Shajan Pazhayil, Major Superior of Indian Quasi Province and Rev. Fr. Shibu Kavunkal, Tresurer, Novice Master and Councilor in charge of Rogate visited our Srilankan Mission at Avissawella. Two days visit highlighted dialogue and sharing with confreres Frs. Varghese, Lixon and bro. Rinu and discussion with Bishop Cletus and his council on the proposal to take over St. Anthony’s Orphanage at Hewadiwala.

​The Major Superior, Fr.Shajan Pazhayil, accompanied by Fr. Vinu Velutheppilly receives a warm welcome at Rogate Sneha Bhavan, Nalgonda. Fr.  Shajan started his second canonical visit of his mandate as the Major Superior. He will stay up to February 24, visiting the community of Nalgonda. On the way back he will also visit Fr. Joby Kavungal, who is working at Catholic Health Association of India. (CHAI) and Fr. Sabu Pulimalayil, who is  temporarily serving CHAI, waiting for the visa to Australia. 

 The St. Thomas Quasi Province organised a get together of the parents of all the religious. Every year, the centre of studies used to organise this event to thank the parents for their collaboration in the formation of their children as well as to update them about the congregation and its growth in India and other parts of the world. On February 18, the parents of all the religious students came and the parents day celebration started with an hour of Eucharistic adoration. After dinner the brothers performed an hour of cultural programmes for the parents.

OCTOBER

2 –The feast of Guardian Angels - The Rogate Bhavan Community celebrated the feast of our two regents brothers – Abin and Jain. During the holy Eucharist,  superior Fr. Saji Kallookkaran prayed and appreciated them for their   presence and efforts. We had solemn celebration in the evening and the seminarians entertained the whole community with cultural performances. The community extended their love and concern and offered prayerful support and gifts.

October 1, 2016- Parish Feast of St. Teresa of Child Jesus

The community of Rogationist Mission Home Srilanka, joined the parish community (Dehigahapetiya) for the feast of St. Teresa of Child Jesus. The Solemn vespers and delightful procession and variety of firecrackers made the day more colorful and cheerful.

India, Aluva - Gennaio 2017- ll nostro ROGATE CHARITY CENTER di Aluva - India  ha dedicato il CALENDARIO 2017, alle Missioni Rogazioniste nel Mondo, privilegiando quelle che si dedicano alle attività educative, attraverso le adozioni a distanza e alle Adozioni Missionarie. Questo anche in ricordo del compianto P. Roy Thekkedath, della Quasi Provincia dell' India,  recentemente scomparso nella  nascente Missione di Angola! Inoltre, nel Calendario si propaganda la ROGATIONIST ACCADEMY, con la quale si inizia l' attività educativa attraverso la Scuola, nella città di Aluva.

Season’s Greetings!

The Rogationist St. Thomas Quasi rejoices for the ordination of Fr. Fijo. The auxiliary bishop of Trissur mar Raphael Thattil raised Fijo to the sacred priesthood. Fr. Noby Ambookan, the parish priest extended a warm welcome to the ordaining prelate and to all the invited people. Fr. Shajan pazhayil assisted during the liturgical celebration as the arch deacon. After the ordination, the parish community organised a public meeting and fr. Unny Pottokaran inaugurated the meeting.
