The celebration of the XXI Day of Consecrated Life on February 2, 2017 was higlighted by the renewal of religious consecration of eighteen confreres at the conclusion of the 2nd ongoing formation organized by St. Matthew Province for the School Year 2016-17. Taking the theme “Chaste Celibacy – the Way of Living the Rogationist Identity” the young Rogationists in their 3rd-7th year of priestly ministry or 10th-15th year of religious profession gathered in Bohol, Philippines on January 28 – February 2. They come from various Rogationist communities in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Papua New Guinea where they are actually working.
The 5-day program, organized by Fr. Ariel Tecson, Provincial Councilor on Religious Life and formation. Msgr. Ramon Masculino of the Galilee Center in Tagaytay facilitated the first day with a conference on “Living Chaste and Celibate Life”, followed by the group sharing and plenary discussion. The second day was facilitated by Ms. Louie Migne who gave a workshop on “Enhancing Emotional Quotient in Community Life and Leadership”, followed by the dialogue between "EQ Buddies". On January 31, Feast of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, the participants spent the entire day in recollection at the Mercedarian Convent guided by Fr. Jessie Martirizar RCJ who spoke about the “Rogationist Identity Kit”as indicated by the XII General Chapter Document. Towards noon, the group gathered for the Grand Supplica before the Eucharist. In the afternoon, Dra. Edna Sasing Lao MD, spoke about “Holistic Healthy Lifestyle”. The following day, the confreres shared a moment of fraternity together visiting important places in the Island of Bohol. The final day, February 2, which is the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus and the XXI Day of Consecrated Life, the participants made their renewal of commitment as Rogationist consecrated.
