(August 2) The educational community of the Rogationist Academy in Toril, Davao, Philippines opens the new School Year 2022-2023 with the resumption of face-to-face classes after two years of online classes due to the Covid-19 restrictions. The Mass of the Holy Spirit, attended by the student body and teachers at the school’s covered court, was presided over by Fr. Francis Paul Escano, Rector of the Rogationist Academy – Davao. Immediately after, the students went to their respective classrooms for their lessons. On the following day, the students attended the afternoon assembly at the school’s inner quadrangle.
The Rogationist Academy in Toril, Davao was founded on 2002 as a Philippine Government recognized school for junior and high school students. The St. Anthony's Boys Village - Toril, Davao was founded in 1998 as the second socio-educational institute of the Rogationists in the Philippines. Last year, there was a total of 248 students, 160 of whom were in Junior High School and 88 in Senior High School. Among the students, 44 were intern boys of St. Anthony's Boys Village.
