In commemoration of the Queenship of Mary, the Nazareth Inter-Novitiate Program 2023-2024 was formally opened last August 22, 2023 at the Oasis of Prayer, Silang, Cavite.
The opening ceremony was attended by various religious congregations viz: Salvatorians, Stigmatines, Sisters of Angels, Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Missionary Daughters of St. Jerome Emiliani. Jerome Emiliani, Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, Sisters of the Holy Family, Franciscan Sisters of St. Elizabeth, Daughters of St. Francis de Sales, Missionary Sisters of St. Anthony Claret, Augustinian Recollects, and Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus. We are blessed to have about 90 novices participating in this program.
The program aims to refine the novices in both spiritual and psychological dimensions in order to nurture their individuality and address their human nature, which will be a medium for living in the community.
Fr. Rogie Quinga, RCJ, Director of the Oasis, began the celebration with a welcome message, followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Fr. Ariel Tecson, RCJ, Novice Master of the Rogationists. In his reflection, he highlighted the Queenship of Mary and related it to the field of formation. He said that a novice should be "H.O.T." - humble, obedient, and trusting, just like Mary when she said her fiat to the Lord" - not only to their formators but also to themselves.
After the Eucharist, they went to the pavilion for the opening program. The atmosphere was warmed by the performance of the rogation novices. Herminia Sutarez, Daughters of Charity, followed by Fr. Ariel, who gave an overview of the program and his talk on the dynamics of the novitiate formation phase. The event concluded with the blessing of Fr. Vinoy, Salvatorian, and the socialization of the novices.
