General Assembly of the Rogationist St. Thomas Quasi Province

altaltThe Rogationist St. Thomas Quasi Province, India started their General Assembly on November 17, 2014, after a year of animation of the present provincial team. Today at 06:00 pm, the auxiliary bishop of Ernakulam -Angamaly, Bp. Sebastain Adayantharath presided over the opening Holy Eucharist. After the mass, the bishop met with the members of the assembly and enlightened the perpetually professed religious about the God experience that we need to have in the society today. He exhorted the members to be the a true prophetic sign in our religious witnessing. Everybody enjoyed the table fellowship and the bishop wished a fruitful encounter and gave his fatherly blessing. 

10° anniversario della presenza della Congregazione in Maumere (Indonesia)

La comunità del seminario ha radunato i “Rogate Kids”, bambini che frequentano le diverse cappelle e parrocchie dove i nostri seminaristi svolgono il loro l’Apostolato domenicale, in Wetekara, una delle cappelle di Habi, la parrocchia dove i Rogazionisti inseriti per la prima volta in una comunità parrocchiale. Con la collaborazione degli Animatori di SEKAMI (catechisti parrocchiali per i bambini) hanno intrattenuto i bambini per un pomeriggio di festa con catechesi, giochi, canti e danze. Verso la fine, dopo la premiazione, ad ognuno viene offerto un rinfresco e un piccolo regalo.

14 novembre - GIORNATA VOCAZIONALE

Per questa giornata sono stati invitati tutti le Congregazioni che frequentano il “Formation Institute of St. Hannibal (FISH) per una mezza giornata di conferenza. Da una parte, P. Henry Ramos ha dato una conferenza sulla realtà vocazionale dei giovani di oggi:  “Come rispondere alla chiamata di Dio per essere operai nella sua vigna”. Contemporaneamente, dall’altra parte, i Superiori e Formatori delle diverse Congregazioni religiose a Maumere hanno ascoltato la testimonianza di P. Jessie Martirizar sulla “Formazione alla Missione: I candidati alla vita consacrata come futuri testimoni della gioia del Vangelo”. L’evento finisce con agape fraterna.

Nel pomeriggio, c’è stata la benedizione della prima pietra nella costruzione del Seminario rogazionista in Ribang. P. Jessie Martirizar, in qualità di rappresentante del Superiore Generale, ha presieduto il rito di benedizione con la partecipazione di P. Henry Ramos, primo missionario in Maumere assieme con P. Erick Raveza, Economo Provinciale, e tutti i Confratelli della Comunità di Maumere. Erano anche presenti il costruttore e alcuni benefattori, che sono venuti per l’occasione dalle Filippine. Questa costruzione del Seminario è il soggetto del "Progetto Maumere", l’iniziativa di solidarietà di tutta la Famiglia del Rogate per la Giornata Missionaria Rogazionista 2014.

Riunione UAR delle Associazioni Rogazioniste

Nel paese di Quarto, in provincia di Napoli e diocesi di Pozzuoli, i direttivi delle Associazioni Rogazioniste presenti nell'UAR si sono riuniti presso il Centro Diocesano Regina Pacis dal 7 al 9 novembre 2014. Tra sabato e domenica, i membri delle Famiglie Rog, LAVR (Laici Animatori Vocazionali Rogazionisti) e dell'ERA (European Rogationist Association) hanno potuto condividere i programmi, gli obiettivi e le strategie per un lavoro comune sul laicato rogazionista, nello spirito del Progetto Culturale che è stato pubblicato due anni fa e impostato sui tre fronti della pastorale giovanile, familiare e del volontariato.

ORDINATION TO THE DIACONATE

altSucat, Paranaque City (07 November 2014) – The St. Matthew Province is happy to receive the gift of diaconate of three perpetually professed Brothers Ryan Jimenez, Joel Ricafranca, and Wilford Urmaza in a concelebrated Holy Mass at the Holy Spirit Chapel, Father Di Francia Center of Studies, Sucat, Paranaque City on November 8, 2014 at 4:00pm.

The Bishop of the Diocese of Paranaque, Most Rev. Jesse E. Mercado, D.D., will be the Presider and the Ordaining Prelate of the deacons-elect. The celebration will be participated by the members of the Family of the Rogate: Priests, Brothers, Sisters, Union of Prayer for Vocations, friends and benefactors.

Dinner will follow after the Ordination Rites.

Let us give thanks to the Lord for the greatness of His mercy by giving us three new deacons. We pray that they may always be of service to the harvest of the Lord in the proclamation of the Gospel. May they become instruments of the Good News through their prayer life, service and witnessing. May they inspire more holy vocations in the Church, through the intercession of St. Hannibal Mary di Francia, Patron of Vocations!

25 years of religious profession

altNovember 06, 2014:-The STQP, India, gathered together at Rogate Ashram to thank the Lord for the 25 years of religious profession of the first two Indian priests, Fr. Joseph and Fr. Devassy and to wish the new missionaries to Sri Lanka, Fr. Varghese and Fr. Deleep. We had a thanksgiving con celebrated Holy Eucharist at 06:00 pm in the Rogate Ashram Chapel. Fr. Shajan shared during the homily about the importance of this 25 years of religious consecration and the mission opening, he invited all the religious students to prepare well to continue the mission that we begin now in Sri Lanka.  On November 07, they start their missionary initiation in the diocese of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. Fr. Shajan, the Major Superior will accompany them. Fathers and brothers from the different communities represented in the celebration.

First presence in Sri Lanka

Dearest Confreres, Today, The St. Thomas Quasi Province, India begin our first missionary presence in the diocese of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. Fr. Varghese Panickassery and Fr. Deleep Parackal have left this morning to Sri Lanka. They will be accommodated by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Cletus C Perera, bishop of Ratnapura diocese. We wish them all the best and through their presence and apostolate, we may be able to bring the spirit of ROGATE in the land of Sri Lanka. fr. The Rogate Bhavan community joyfully celebrated the 40th birthday of Fr. Sabu, the superior of Rogate Bhavan on 10th of October. Fr. Sabu celebrated mass in the morning. The neighboring religious communities and the Gurudarsan novitiate house joined the community for the dinner preceded by a prayer service to wish and pray for Fr. Sabu.

Seminary meet competitions

As part of the inter seminary meet of the Mananthavady region , the seminarians of Rogate Bhavan Seminary participated in the literary competitions conducted at Mount Mary seminary on 19th of October. The results of the speech competitions (English and Malayalam) and poem competitions (English and malayalm) are already announced. The Rogate Bhavan seminary got the first prizes in English speech, Malayalam speech, Malayalam poem and second prize in English poem through Bros. Sheemon , Jijo, Sonumon, Midhun respectively. This superb performance of our young seminarians is a great joy to be proud of our glorious future.

 

Workshop on Psychology and counseling

Focusing on the human affective and spiritual formation of the seminarians the Roagte Bhavan community organized a workshop on self esteem meditation and sexual marturity from 28- 30 of October. The classes and counseling were given by Sr. Subha CMC. The seminarians acknowledged that it was a fruitful experience in their formation.

L’ordinazione sacerdotale di P. Nicola Cortellino

DSC_4489.JPGIl 4 novembre 2014, nella chiesa parrocchiale di “S. Antonio di Padova” a Circonvallazione Appia, alle ore 18.00, con un rito particolarmente solenne, è stato ordinato sacerdotale di P. Nicola Cortellino. Al Cardinale Angelo Comastri, Vicario generale di Sua Santità per lo Stato della Città del Vaticao, che ha presieduto il rito della consacrazione, hanno fatto corona oltre cinquanta confratelli rogazionisti concelebranti, giunti dalle diverse comunità dell’Italia. Erano presenti, inoltre, le consorelle Figlie del Divino Zelo, i familiari di P. Nicola provenienti da Trani con il gruppo della Rettoria di S. Agostino, e un gruppo di fedeli della parrocchia del Cuore Immacolato di Maria, da Bari. Da notare il perfetto servizio liturgico dei giovani religiosi dello Studentato di Roma, e la magistrale esecuzione dei brani liturgici musicati dal Maestro Mons. Giuseppe Liberto. È stato possibile partecipare al rito con il sussidio dell’artistico libretto guida abbellito da una icona di Sant’Annibale e da numerose foto degli affreschi del santuario-basilica del Cuore di Gesù e di Sant’Antonio di Padova, di Messina. In chiusura del sacro rito il Superiore Generale, P. Angelo A. Mezzari, ha rivolto un fervido ringraziamento al Cardinale per la sua cordiale vicinanza alla nostra Congregazione. P. Nicola, ha celebrato la Messa di ringraziamento, nella chiesa parrocchiale dei Santi Antonio e Annibale Maria, a Piazza Asti, in Roma, mercoledì, 5 novembre, alle ore 18.00.

08 NOVEMBER 2014

Seminary Camping

The seminarians will gather together in the football field of Seminari Rogationis – Wailiti for a half day celebration starting with the group games and animation prepared by the community that aimed at team-building and camaraderie among the seminarians. There will also be moments of prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of vocation, for the gift of charism, for the gift of community life. The Evening will be capped with sharings and Cultural presentations coming from the seminarians – highlighting the richness of the cultures and traditions of Flores.

13 NOVEMBER

“I Love My Children”

The whole Seminary Community will gather the children attending our Sunday Apostolate in the different chapels and parishes of Seminary Apostolate for an afternoon of Rogate Children’s Gathering in Wetekara, one of the chapels of Habi where the Rogationists first inserted themselves in a Parish community. The community tied itself with the Animators of SEKAMI – parish catechists for children, to mobilize, animate, catechize, and look after the children. The children are also asked present some songs and dances for entertainment. Gifts and prices were also prepared for the children.  

14 NOVEMBER

FOCUS ON VOCATION

The seminary will conduct a whole day seminar inviting all the students of the Formation Institute of St. Hannibal (FISH), both the Aspirants and the Postulants and the Superiors and Formators of the different Religious Congregations here in Maumere. There will be two seminars: Young People of Today – answering the Call of God to be Workers in his Vineyard, facilitated by Fr. Henry Ramos, RCJ, with the aspirants and postulants as the audience; Mission and Formation: Consecrated Persons Actively Involving Themselves in the Mission of Christ, facilitated by Fr. Jessie Martirizar, RCJ, for the Professed Religious, Superiors and Formators of the different Religious Congregations enrolled in FISH. An agape concludes gathering.

 

In the afternoon, there will be the Blessing of the corner stone in the Rogationist Seminary in Ribang. Fr. Jessie Martirizar, as representative of the Superior General, will bless with cornerstone together with Fr. Henry Ramos and priests of the Rogationist Community in Maumere. This Seminary under the “Progetto Maumere” of the whole Congregation of the Rogationist will be the seedbed of Vocation here in Maumere as it will the place where the future “workers in the Lord’s vineyard” will be formed and educated.

 

15 NOVEMBER

YOUNG PEOPLE FOR ROGATE ERGO

The seminary will hold a youth camp inviting the youth groups coming from the different nearby parishes where the Rogationists are helping for the Sunday Liturgy. A Young Diocesar Priest will be invited to give an inspiration-vocation talk to the youth and will lead them to faith-experience-witnessing and thanksgiving through the Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Afterwhich, there will be cultural presentations, testimonies and sharings from the different youth group.

In the evening, the parishioners will also share their moments of prayer and adoration as they take their turn in adoring and thanking Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, in a Community Adoration for Vocation

 

16 NOVEMBER

A DAY OF THANKSGIVING

Mass for the commemoration of the 10th Year Anniversary of the Rogationists’ Presence in Maumere. The First Missionaries: Fr. Jessie Martirizar and Henry Ramos, together with the Bishop fof Maumere, Msgr. Gerulfus Kherubim Pareira, SVD will officiate the Celebration of the Holy Mass, together will some invited priests in the Diocese of Mauemre. Church and Government leaders, Religious Congregations, Former Rogationists, family, friends and benefactors of the Rogationists and people who were became part of the journey of the Rogationists here in Maumere will also be invited to take part in the celebrations. After the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, there will be a procession carrying the Statue of St. Hannibal from the Chapel going to the Seminary, accompanied by all the faithful. Feast of food, friendship and cultural presentations await the guests and visitors of the said celebration. In the afternoon, there will be the community “Barrio Fiesta” – games involving the local people of Wailiti and Kota Baru where the Rogationists are residents. A moment of silence and prayer will end the celebration with the Sky Lanterns sending the prayers of praise, thanksgiving and petitions of the Community to the skies.
