Most Rev. Socrates Villegas, DD, Archbishop of the Lingayen-Dagupan, installed Fr. Joseph Arcaño as the new Parish Priest of the St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Villanueva, Bautista, Pangasinan, on July 23, 2017. Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior led a number of Rogationist Priests, friends and members of the Family of the Rogate, in participating in the celebration and in praying for the new pastor for the very best in his parochial ministry.

It may be unknown to many of you that SABV-Davao produces its newsletter "The Providence" since June 2016. I am now sending you the June 2017 issue of our newsletter, The Providence. It is the first issue of its second year of publication. may this endeavor make each of us get in touch with and appreciate our apostolate among the poor boys whose prayers are always favored by the Divine Providence through the intercession of St. Anthony of Padua.

Dearest,  This coming July 24 (Monday) we will be commemorating the 7th Death Anniversary of our dear Fr. Joseph Aveni. It is a good occasion to remember his exemplary life, to thank him for the precious teachings he left us and to share memories and experiences from those whose lives have been touched by him. 

For this occasion the Rogationist St. Matthew Province is inviting all to a Eucharistic Celebration before his tomb at the Manila Memorial Park, Parañaque City. There will be also the presentation and distribution of his Short Biography and prayer cards. 

Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior opened the 3-day meeting of all the Superiors/Responsible and Treasurers of the St. Matthew Province, on July 20, 2017 at the St. Hannibal Rogate Center. After giving some indications and reporting on certain urgent concerns from his Office, Fr. Herman, called on Fr. Dexter Prudenciano to present to the group, on behalf of Bro. Nilo Pelobello, the Provincial Treasurer, significant updates about the Province's resources and its attempt to revise the draft of its Economic Manual.

En date du 17/07/2017 a commencé au sein de la communauté saint Hannibal de Cyangugu (propedeutique) une mini session des aspirants de provenance du Rwanda et  et de la RDCongo. Le nombre s'élève à 18. Le thème des enseignements qui sont entrain d'être donnés aux jeunes s'intitule comme suit :  "connaître le Rogate pour mieux s'engager dans la famille rogationniste". Au terme de la session il y aura un petit test qui nous permettra de sélectionner certains candidats pour commencer la formation au sein de notre communauté de Cyangugu.

No dia 22 de julho será ordenado sacerdote, o religioso Rogacionista, Rodrigo Chaparro Cabral. A celebração acontecerá na Paróquia Virgem de Fátima, na cidade de San Lorenzo, Paraguai. Em preparação à Ordenação acontecerá, entre os dias 19 e 21 de julho, um Tríduo Vocacional nas comunidades da Paróquia.

Il Superiore Generale, P. Bruno Rampazzo, si è recato, domenica 16 luglio 2017, in visita a Pincara (RO), dove ha presieduto la santa messa domenicale delle 11.00 presso la chiesa parrocchiale di S. Giovanni Battista. Nella celebrazione eucaristica, P. Bruno ha voluto ricordare la figura del compianto P. Luigi Toffanin, nel 40º della sua ordinazione sacerdotale, avvenuta proprio nel suo paese natale il 16 luglio del 1977. All'Eucaristia erano presenti numerosi familiari e amici, nonché i sacerdoti rogazionisti indiani P. Unny Pottokkaran, Consigliere Generale per il Rogate e P.

Invitation to the Inauguration of Santuario de San Antonio

        The Community of St. Anthony’s Boys Village Davao has set the inauguration of it Chapel on August 6, 2017, Solemnity of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the anniversary of the canonical approval of the Rogationist Congregation. The name of the Chapel is “Santuario de San Antonio – Chapel of Divine Providence. The main celebrant for the said event is Fr. Herman Abcede, Provincial of St. Matthew Province.

In celebration of the Year of the Parish, the second installment to a series of talks on Communion of Communities, [organized by Fr. Ariel Tecson, the Provincial Councilor on Religious Life, Formation and Pastoral Care for Vocations,] was delivered by Fr. Ulrich Gacayan on the theme “The Christian Community in St. Peter’s Epistle: its Insights and Challenges in our Time” at the Oasis of Prayer in Lalaan II, Silang, Cavite on July 15, 2017. Through the efforts of Fr. Viktor Emmanuel Aurellana, in his capacity as In-Charge of the Pastoral Institute on Vocation Ministry, assisted by Rev. Zander Conson and in coordination with Fr. Ariel Tecson, the Provincial Councilor on the Sector Religious Life, Formation and Pastoral Care for Vocations, the first of a series of four Workshops on the Formation of Formators was held on July 15-16, 2017 at the Oasis of Prayer in Lalaan II, Silang, Cavite.
