FDFCS COMMUNITY HOSTS SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

PARANAQUE CITY (July 9, 2018) – The Community of Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies hosted the Seminar-Workshop on Child Protection Policy last July 9, 2018. Organized and spearheaded by the Provincial Sector on Charity and Missions, the participants came from the religious communities of Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies, Fr. Hannibal Formation Center, St. Hannibal Rogate Center, Rogationist Postulancy Center, Rogationist Novitiate, St. Hannibal Empowerment Center, St. Hannibal Multi-Level School in Multinational Village, and St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Bautista, Pangasinan.

 

Feast of July the First

​In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Inspiration of the Rogate, in the context of the Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons in the Philippines, with the Rogate Family, the Daughters of Divine Zeal and the Rogationists jointly held their Feast of July the First at the Our Lady of Divine Zeal Convent in Marikina City. Mission Send Off to Seoul, South Korea

On June 25, 2018, at the chapel of the St. Hannibal Rogate Center, through a simple rite, incorporated to the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Orville Cajigal, Provincial Councilor for the Sector on Charity and Missions, Fr. Jonrey Lauron was blessed by Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior, and was officially sent off to be part of the Missionary Station in Seoul, South Korea, joining two Korean Rogationist Priests.

Interment of Fr. Enrique Raveza III

On June 11, 2018, the day when Fr. Enrique Raveza III, 24 year back was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priesthood, he was solemnly laid to rest by confreres, family and friends at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City. The interment was preceded by a funeral Mass, presided over by the Bishop of Parañaque, Most Rev. Jesse Mercado, DD, at the chapel of the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies. Fr. FR. ABCEDE APPOINTED DEFENDER OF THE BOND IN DIOCESAN TRIBUNAL

         Fr. Herman Abcede, Provincial Superior of the St. Matthew Province, has been appointed by the Bishop Jesse Mercado of the Diocese of Paranaque to be a Defender of the Bond in the Diocesan Ecclesiastical Court of First Instance. He was sworn into office on June 6, 2018, together with the other officers and judicial counsels of the Tribunal, during the blessing of office of the said new Tribunal Office. 

Blessing of Structures at the Oasis Retreat Center – Cebu Seminary

The Rogationist Seminary Cebu celebrated the Solemnity of St. Hannibal Maria Di Francia on June 1, 2018 with the blessing of some completed structures of the Oasis Retreat Center Cebu. The entire project is a work in progress, relying on the Divine Providence and the intercession of St. Hannibal Mary. These facilities are available for groups and individuals, especially the youth, for moments of spiritual recollections and vocation discernment.

Renewal, Perpetual Profession of Vows and 25th Anniversary of Religious Profession

In celebration of the Feast of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia and the 150th year of the Founder's inspiration of the Rogate, the St. Matthew Province received the gift of seven religious, who made perpetual profession of their Vows. One of them, Bro. John Baptist Nguyen Thanh Huy, perpetually professed in the Missionary Station of Vietnam, and another one, Bro. Marselinus Koka, made his in the Missionary Station of Indonesia, while five others, Bro. John Francis Aberion, Bro. Jose Roque Arreza, Bro. Andru Iroy, Bro. Tom June Lancin and Bro.

12 New Rogationists & 7 New Novices

The St. Matthew Province, in the Eucharistic liturgy celebrating the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, presided over by Fr. Herman Abcede, twelve (12) new religious made the first profession of their vows, at the chapel of the St. Anthony's Boys Village in Silang, Cavite. Seven are from the Philippines and five are from Vietnam. In the same celebration, he admitted to the Novitiate seven (7) new Novices, all Filipinos, and entrusted them to Fr. Ulyses Angus, the Novice Master. 

3 New Postulants from Indonesia

The Mission Station of Maumere-Indonesia admitted three aspirants to Postulancy during the Mass presided by Fr. Elmer Miralles Dula, RCJ, Responsible of the Mission Station. Fr. Herman Abcede RCJ, the Provincial Superior of the Rogationist St. Matthew Province, delegated Fr. Dula to admit the new postulants who have just finished their initial formation for five years in the Seminay in Maumere. Concelebrating were the other formators of the Seminary: Fr. Joel Ricafranca, RCJ, Fr. Henrikus Gualbertus, RCJ and assisted by Deacon Ferdinandus Heldi Tanga, RCJ.
