CANONICAL VISIT OF FR. ANTONIO IN SANGER, CA

Fr. Antonio Fiorenza, the Superior of Our Lady of Guadalupe Delegation, made a Canonical Visit to the community of Sanger in California last April 12-13, 2016.

The Canonical Visit is an expression of fraternal communion to the religious in the community, also made complete with the encounter with the different pastoral groups representatives both in Del Rey and Sanger.

Canonical Visit To St. Jane Frances De Chantal Parish Community

Fr. Antonio Fiorenza, the Superior of the Delegation of our Lady of Guadalupe started his First Canonical Visit to the community of St. Jane Frances de Chantal in North Hollywood, California last March 15-16, 2016. He was accompanied by Fr. Edwin Manio as Secretary of the Delegation.

The community here is composed by Fr. Rene Panlasigui, as Superior and Vocation Director, Fr. Antonio Carlucci as Pastor and Vice Superior, Fr. Shinto Panachikattu, Treasurer and Vice Pastor.

The Rogationist Assembly 2015

The Rogationist Assembly of Our Lady of Guadalupe Delegation officially commenced with the Concelebrated Eucharist at 8,10 a.m. presided by the Superior of the Delegation Fr. Antonio Fiorenza, rcj. The Assembly will be held from December 28-30, 2015 in Van nuys, California.

The theme of this year’s gathering is Community Life in the context of Parish Apostolate explained in a conference by Scalibrinian priest Fr. Raniero Allessandrini, CS.

Nuovo Governo della Delegazione U.S.A.

alt29 aprile 2015 – Il Superiore Generale, P. Angelo A. Mezzari, alla scadenza del quadriennio del Governo della Delegazione U.S.A., dopo aver compiuto l’apta consultatio, e riscontrata la disponibilità da parte degli interessati, con il consenso del Consiglio Generalizio, il 29 aprile 2015, ha provveduto al rinnovo del Governo della Delegazione, con le seguenti nomine:

Il vescovo Armando Ochoa ha presieduto la santa messa della cresima in St. Mary's church

Lo scorso 17 marzo 2014 , il vescovo della diocesi di Fresno, Mons. Armando Xavier Ochoa è venuto a presiedere il sacramento della Cresima a 64 studenti del CCD (Confraternita della Dottrina Cristiana), della Chiesa di Santa Maria in Sanger, California. La celebrazione eucaristica e la Cresima si è tenuto alle 19, 00. E' stata concelebrata dai padre Rogazionisti, vale a dire P. Rene Panlasigui, P. Devassy Painadath, P. Giovanni Bruno, il parroco, ed è stato abbellito anche da P. Vito Di Marzio, il Superiore Maggiore della Delegazione USA- Messico .

Durante la Messa, il vescovo Ochoa ha esteso il suo messaggio di auguri ai confirmandi e ai loro genitori per essere stati pazienti e coerenti durante 3 anni di preparazione per questo evento. Parole di incoraggiamento e congratulazioni sono andati anche ai catechisti e volontari che hanno preparato i giovani candidati. In particolare, egli ha dato belle parole di ringraziamento ai Rogazionisti, in particolare al parroco, p. Giovani Bruno, per il servizio e la dedizione che danno alla gente di Sanger .

Il vescovo arrivò alle 17, 30 nel Ranch e del Seminario di San Antonio dove la comunità dei Rogazionisti sta vivendo. Una cena era servita e condivisa con al vescovo, che era accompagnato da un diacono permanente e sua moglie .

Inoltre, dopo la Messa, ogni coppia di confirmati e il loro padrino o madrina ha avuto l'opportunità di avere una foto personale scattata con l'amato vescovo. Una merenda è stata offerta nella sala parrocchiale dopo la celebrazione .

Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, California

The Annual Religious Education Congress was held on March 13-16, 2014 in Anaheim, California. The event is being organized by the Office of the Religious Education (ORE) of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for all Catholics who wish to learn more about their faith or seek personal growth. It is the largest gatherings of Roman Catholics from different dioceses of USA, but also have participants coming from even as far as United Kingdom and Australia.

The Rogationists religious have attended the said event coming from the two parishes namely, Fr. Vito di Marzio and Fr. Antonio Fiorenza representing St. Elizabeth parish in Vannuys, and Fr. Rene Panlasigui, Fr. Devassy Painadath, Fr.  Edwin Manio and the seminarians representing St. Mary’s Parish in Sanger. Both parishes have sent some religious educators, catechists, altar servers, youth, young adults and parents to the congress.

The adult congress started with Opening liturgy presided by Archbishop Jose Gomez, of the Los Angeles archdiocese. The 2014 Religious Education Congress has attracted 14, 999 participants for the Youth Day held on March 13, 2014. Youth Day is designed for all students from public and Catholic schools, grades 9 through 12. It is a day just for youth from many different backgrounds from throughout the Archdiocese – and beyond – to participate in a Rally, Liturgy and Workshops focused just for them. The theme for the youth day is "NEVER ALONE, FOREVER ACCEPTED!”


While the Adult Congress has attracted 38,000 participants for March 14-16, 2014. Over the three days, Congress 2014 offered over 300 workshops presented by 184 speakers. Moreover, the Congress has offered a number of liturgies of different character including Black Culture, Celtic, Contemplative, Jazz, Mayan, Native American, Spanish, Urban Fusion, Vietnamese, and Young Adult – as well as evening prayer and a Taizé service.
It showcased 490 booths housing over 200 companies as exhibitors – ranging from religious art to music, and from publishing houses to educational institutions.

This year’s theme is centered on the theological virtue of Hope. HOPE: A WORLD AFIRE! ESPERANZA QUE ENCIENDE AL MUNDO! Archbishop Jose Gomez explains the meaning of the theme and says, “The more we grow in the theological virtue of hope, the more we will be able to set the world on fire, the more we will be able to transform it into a better place, filled with love, peace, justice and respect for all.”

The Eucharistic liturgy in the morning of Sunday was presided by Bishop Kevin Vann, bishop of the Orange, California. While the Closing Eucharistic liturgy in the afternoon was presided by Archbishop Jose Gomez, of the archdiocese of Los Angeles.

             

CLOSING OF THE YEAR OF FAITH AND THE BLESSING OF THE NEW ALTAR

Last November 16, 2013, St. Mary’s Church held a two-fold important event, procession and blessing of the new altar. The procession was held around the Church’s ground on the occasion of the closing of the year of faith.

The said celebration started in front of the Church’s building with the blessing of the Rogationists cross that was installed in front of the Church. Then, the procession began with a song about the Eucharist, while going to the first FAITH-station, the Eucharist. Two lay speaker from the parish faithful speak about a brief catechism about the Eucharist and its importance in their personal experiences. The catechism and sharing was done in English and Spanish. It was concluded by reciting a bilingual prayers to Jesus in the Eucharist.

There were 5 Faith-stations that where beautifully arranged and adorned, namely, the Eucharist, devotion to Mary, Reconciliation, communion of saints, works of charity.  From the outside ground the procession proceeded inside the Church for the blessing of the new Altar. It was presided by Fr. Giovanni Bruno, rcj, the present parish priest who assumed it’s new assignment last year. It was a wonderful way of concluding the year of faith with a new altar in placed where the source and summit of faith is being celebrated and renewed, the Eucharist.

         

Riunita a Van Nuys (USA) la Commissione per le Costituzioni e Norme

Da lunedì, 5 maggio 2008, è riunita a Van
Nuys, California U.S.A., la Commissione generale per l’aggiornamento delle
Costituzioni e Norme. È presieduta dal Consultore Generale, P. Gabriel Flores.
Sono presenti i seguenti membri. Dalla Curia, P. Fortunato Siciliano; dalla
Provincia Italia Centro-Sud, P. Alessandro Perrone e P. Antonino Vicari; dalla
Provincia Italia Centro-Nord, P. Silvano Pinato e P. Gioacchino Chiapperini;
dalla Delegazione Filippina, P. Herman Abcede; dalla Delegazione USA, P. Rodolfo
D’Agostino; dalla Delegazione dell’India, P. Devassy Painadath. Si sta lavorando
alla revisione della prima nuova bozza delle Costituzioni in base alle
osservazioni che sono pervenute dalle Comunità religiose e da singoli
Confratelli. Si prevede che i lavori si protraggano fino alla fine della
settimana.

Scuola d’Arte Sant’Annibale a Guadalajara

Nell’ambito
della Giornata Missionaria Rogazionista, che ha quest’anno come progetto
la Scuola d’Arte Sant’Annibale a Tonala, Guadalajara (Messico),
si è tenuto nella Delegazione U.S.A. il “Mission Forum” per la
relativa presentazione, con la presenza di P. Gaby Flores, Consultore
Generale per le missioni, e di P. Michele Marinelli, Direttore dell’Ufficio
Missionario. In due distinti appuntamenti, il 24 febbraio in Sanger
ed il 1° e 2 marzo in Van Nuys (Los Angeles), vi è stato un adeguato
programma per illustrare il Progetto a vantaggio di tanti giovani che,
in un contesto di precarietà occupazionale, potranno apprendere una
professione che consenta loro di guardare con una certa fiducia al domani.
